The Animal Control Division of the Narragansett Police Department is responsible for enforcing local ordinance and state laws regarding animals and animal husbandry. The primary goals of Animal Control is to educate the citizenry of the Town of Narragansett with the importance of responsible pet ownership, rabies awareness, control of the feral cat population and to have effective enforcement by means of dialogue, education, or by more serious matters through citation or animal impoundment.

Short Term Care & Rehabilitation Services: A qualified team of certified speech, physical and occupational therapists work with each individual to set and reach goals for recovery. Rehabilitation services are provided, per physician’s order, to those admitted for a short-term stay while recovering from an illness, injury or surgery. This 10 session group is designed to empower youth to protect themselves from the commercial sex industry and its perpetrators; explore what makes a healthy relationship; improve self-esteem; and provide positive interaction with peers, medical professionals, law enforcement officers, and survivors. This group beneficial for all teenage girls, as all teenage girls are at risk for exploitation. Clients do not need to have a sexual abuse history to benefit from this group.
