Maternal Child Home Visiting provides child development, health and social services to newborns and their families as well as families with young children. Healthy Families America (HFA) is designed to help parents with understanding and caring for their infant’s needs, building strong parent child connections, breastfeeding and feeding support, and helping children learn and grow to reach their potential. Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a home based program that supports parents by teaching them the skills they need to teach their children and enhance their development and also supports families with monthly community activities and family events. Both programs enrolls pregnant families and families with children up to 4 years old. Both programs are free and help families connect with other services and supports that they feel they need.

Adoption Options is the nonprofit, nonsectarian adoption program of Jewish Family Service with offices in Providence, Rhode Island and Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Adoption Options provides a full range of services to support families throughout the adoption process: Comprehensive services for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Information, resources and supportive counseling before, during and after adoption. Home studies to prepare for domestic or international adoption. Domestic placement of infants. Coordination of services with other placement agencies, facilitators and adoption attorneys.

The primary purpose of the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is to protect life and property in the event of a disaster or crisis situation, through a program of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. Pawtucket and Central Falls share Emergency Management Services to increase public safety preparedness, save taxpayer dollars and provide greater efficiencies.

Mae provides quality clothing, accessories, and shoe items at no cost to the homeless and low-income households. They accept personal donations of gently used items and make these available at our weekly food service locations.

Clinical support groups are consistently a beneficial intervention for the clients and families. Offers clinical support groups for survivors of sexual abuse (child, teen and adults) and their parents and caregivers. Offers groups focusing on healthy self-esteem, socialization and healing from trauma. Justice Resource Institute’s My Life My Choice (MLMC) Support Group. This 10 session group is designed to empower youth to protect themselves from the commercial sex industry and its perpetrators; explore what makes a healthy relationship; improve self-esteem; and provide positive interaction with peers, medical professionals, law enforcement officers, and survivors. This group beneficial for all teenage girls, as all teenage girls are at risk for exploitation. Clients do not need to have a sexual abuse history to benefit from this group. Non-profit agency offering comprehensive treatment programs for boys and girls traumatized by abuse or experiencing the challenges of psychiatric disorders. Includes therapy, prevention, education, seminars, workshops etc. Children are treated and cared for in the residential, educational and out-patient programs located in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Life Alert is a Personal Emergency Response and Home Medical Alert System company that saves lives from catastrophic outcomes using technology to provide home audio monitoring protection.

Provides free, voluntary, confidential home visits to pregnant women and families with young children, birth to age three. Trained nurses, social workers, and community health workers meet with families in their homes to talk about their needs, answer questions they may have, and conduct comprehensive assessments. Home visits are based on the needs of the family. Visit topics may include health education and connections with appropriate healthcare services, human services, and community resources. If a child does not have a medical home, we can help the family find one.

The Rhode Island Center for Justice is a non-profit public interest law center that partners with community groups to strengthen existing advocacy and service provision with legal representation and strategy. Our legal practice areas⁠—including housing, immigration, workers’ rights, criminal justice, education, and utility shutoffs⁠—reflect the most pressing needs of low-income people in our state. At the core of our model is a partnership with Roger Williams University School of Law, which includes a post-graduate fellowship program, collaboration with pro bono and experiential education, and a joint commitment to building the next generation of public interest attorneys in Rhode Island. The Center brings together new lawyers, supervising legal staff, community groups, mentoring attorneys, and law students to make legal protection a reality where need is greatest.

** Volunteers must be a part of MRC before they are eligible for the DMAT team.** RI Responds is a complementary volunteer network working through the Statewide Emergency Registry of Volunteers (SERV - RI), the RI Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and RI Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) to offer a range of health professional volunteer opportunities for Rhode Islanders. This collaboration greatly enhances the effectiveness of deployment and response coordinated through the state's incident command system. There are three different programs within RI Responds.
