The inpatient rehabilitation program at the Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center is designed for patients who require intensive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation services in a hospital setting. The acute inpatient rehabilitation unit has 12 beds in a beautiful facility with views of Newport from each room. The center’s highly qualified and dedicated staff employs an interdisciplinary team approach to care. Skilled services are provided in a 24-hour therapeutic environment with direct nursing care and intensive physician-directed therapy program which include therapies, education and training. Maternal Child Home Visiting provides child development, health and social services to newborns and their families as well as families with young children. Healthy Families America (HFA) is designed to help parents with understanding and caring for their infant’s needs, building strong parent child connections, breastfeeding and feeding support, and helping children learn and grow to reach their potential. Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a home based program that supports parents by teaching them the skills they need to teach their children and enhance their development and also supports families with monthly community activities and family events. Both programs enrolls pregnant families and families with children up to 4 years old. Both programs are free and help families connect with other services and supports that they feel they need. Parent as Teacher Program (PAT) PAT is a free home based program that supports parents by teaching them the skills they need to teach their children and enhance their development and also supports families with monthly community activities and family events. PAT enrolls pregnant families and families with children up to 2 years old.

Program provides low-interest loans to income eligible homeowners to assist them in making needed improvements to their homes. The program is available for single to three family owner occupied dwellings. Typical improvements include roofs, vinyl siding, windows, doors and gutters.

The Cumberland Senior Center is committed to providing an array of quality services to our senior citizens. We encourage and assist individuals in achieving a lifestyle so they can continue to be active and productive members of the community. Membership fees: for $8 per year, you can join the Cumberland Senior Center and enjoy companionship, trips around the state, a game of billiards, and BINGO Fridays. For non-residents, the annual membership fee is $12. Programs on a variety of educational, informational, and recreational topics for senior citizens are offered throughout the year.
