City of Warwick’s Transwick service provides transportation services to otherwise homebound Warwick residents 55 and older who are living independently, as well as adults with disabilities living independently. Transwick addresses the transportation needs of those without alternate means of transportation or other opportunities for socialization. This service is limited to certain destinations within the City of Warwick and is not intended to supplement, extend, or subsidize services provided by other vendors or for-profit institutions. The following is a list of all of the destinations you may reach through the Transwick program based on availability: Weekly grocery shopping, Pharmacy Transportation, Health screenings and social service programs at Warwick's senior center, Monthly retail shopping, All recreational and educational programs at the city's senior and community centers. Blackstone Valley Community health Care (BVCHC) has established a program that reduces fees charged to patients based on their income and family size. The categories used are based on percentages of “Poverty Level” as annually determined by the federal government. Qualifying patients will pay a nominal fee if they qualify for 100% of poverty. Patients between 101% and 200% will pay an amount depending on their family size and percentage of poverty. Every program has requirements and BVCHC’s Sliding Fee Program is no different.

YPI is committed to building a strong and vocal community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth and their allies to ensure that they are heard and accepted as members and leaders in our community. Youth, ages 13-23, are encouraged to hang out in YPIs Drop-In Center, participate in activities and programming, or use other services such as tutoring or support services. YPI’s drop-in center is a hang out space for LGBTQQ young people and their allies. Play some games, eat a healthy meal, get support and make new friends in a welcoming environment! There’s something different happening every day so come take a dance class, participate in a workshop, do yoga or talk about changing the world. Or just hang out! Youth Transition For young people with disability, life before completing high school is very different than life afterwards. OSCIL provides a variety of services to help students and recent graduates gain the skills and resources needed to make this transition into adulthood. Assisting youth in transitioning from high school to adult life is a core service provided by OSCIL, including next steps such as going to college or finding employment. Hospice care is provided to patients who have advanced diseases that are considered incurable. Hospice care is about living each day to its fullest and helps to make a patient’s last months and days as comfortable and fulfilling as possible…making every moment count. Care is provided in the familiar surroundings of home or home-like setting. Care can also be provided in a long-term care setting or a hospital. The Hospice team focuses on patients’ and their loved ones’ physical, emotional and spiritual comfort. The goal is for the patient and family to spend their remaining days with comfort and dignity. Hospice team visits regularly and is available to answer questions and provide support. The team helps prepare family and friends for the loss of a loved one, and help them deal with their grief through bereavement support groups.
