Family Support Center provides basic needs assistance to low income households and connects families to financial literacy and other programs to strengthen their financial condition. The Family Support Center serves low and moderate income Woonsocket residents depending on eligibility requirements for fund-specific programs.

ONE Neighborhood Builders is a nonprofit community development organization dedicated to revitalizing Providence neighborhoods. Olneyville Housing Corporation, founded in 1988, changed its name to ONE Neighborhood Builders when it merged with Community Works Rhode Island in 2015. To date, we have developed 375 affordable apartments and over 115 for-sale homes, as well as more than 50,000 square feet of commercial and community space. Skilled nursing services; on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapies are available. Short term stays range from one week to several weeks, depending upon the individual’s medical condition. Hospice Suite The Hospice Suite provides care for terminally ill individuals who qualify for general inpatient level of care. The Suite affords residents a lovely homelike environment with ample room for visiting family members.

Project RESPECT (formerly Anytown) has been engaging young people through a process of self-discovery and intentional community building. Designed as a residential leadership institute for young people, Project RESPECT is a life-changing experience for students ready to explore their identities and challenge their privilege. Over the course of the week, delegates dive into issues of privilege and oppression; forge life-long friendships; build confidence; and learn what it takes to create a world that is open and accepting of all cultures, ethnic groups, faiths/religions, and genders.

MAE has staff and volunteers that spend time with people who live on the street, build relationships with them, identify and address their immediate needs (e.g., crisis intervention, food, clean clothing, hygiene kits, blankets, someone to listen) and provide information about and linkage to longer-term forms of support such as shelter, counseling, drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation, care/case management and, where applicable, family reunification services.
