In addition to the above services, our Deaf Services Coordinator collaborates with other OSCIL staff to provide assistance with other OSCIL services to individuals and other service providers. Lunch and Learn Workshops happens every month on last Wednesday from 12PM to 2PM. Currently available through zoom, in-person option would vary on need and availability.

As a designated agency for “The Point”, OSCIL Information and Referral Coordinators provide up-to-date information on a vast array of agency and community services. The purpose of this is to bring solutions to the problems faced by individuals with disabilities.

The Pharmacy Outreach Program is committed to providing the Rhode Island community with the latest, most complete information regarding medications. The program services multiple aspects of the community’s medication needs. The Medication Information Line is a toll-free resource for medication information. Staffed by pharmacists, this confidential service provides Rhode Islanders with answers concerning medications and drug therapy in addition to responding to topical health issues. This program is designed to supplement the informational services offered by community pharmacists, physicians and other health care workers. Offered in the housing units of the elderly, disabled, and needy, residents can take advantage of our monthly on-site scheduled visits. We are available to discuss medication questions and concerns, provide educational information concerning medications and disease states, and monitor blood pressure.

Services: Provides therapeutic day services to victims of Alzheimer's Disease or a related dementia as well as education, support and advocacy for family caregivers. The Center is a safe, secure and happy "home away from home" where participants are encouraged to be optimally independent, but where assistance is always close at hand. Services include but are not limited to multidisciplinary care planning and case management, information and referral, nursing and personal care, nutritional services, therapeutic activities, and assistance in accessing transportation, financial assistance, and other health and enabling services. Through collaborative, contractual and cooperative agreements, the Center is able to enhance core services with physical, occupational and speech therapies; hospice care; podiatry; hair care and a variety of special programs. The staff team includes registered and licensed practical nurses, case managers, certified nursing assistants and activity professionals who create individualized plans of care for each client.

Limited Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal hours are held in adjacent Stedman Government Center. The Traffic Tribunal is part of the Rhode Island unified court system and is comprised of eight (8) judicial officers, which include a Chief Magistrate, an Administrative Magistrate, two (2) Associate Judges, and four (4) Magistrates. The Traffic Tribunal has original jurisdiction over civil traffic offenses committed in Rhode Island, including breathalyzer refusals. Further, the Traffic Tribunal has authority over certain Department of Environmental Management offenses. The Traffic Tribunal has oversight responsibilities and concurrent jurisdiction with the Municipal Courts for lesser traffic offenses. The Traffic Tribunal operates several daily calendars including arraignments, trials, motions, and citation (collections) cases. The court also has an Appeals Division which processes Traffic Tribunal, Municipal Court, and Division of Motor Vehicle appeals.
