The Animal Control Officers work out of the South Kingstown Public Safety Building. Animal Control's mission is to enforce all Town and State Laws pertaining to domestic animals and to ensure that all animals in the Town of South Kingstown are treated humanely. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) provides IRS-trained and certified tax professionals to provide tax-preparation services to clients. VITA volunteers provide timely, quality, and free tax preparation for low to moderate-income individuals and families. Volunteers not only prepare tax returns but simultaneously provide education to clients about their returns and eligible tax credits.

Founded in 2001 by Sr. Mary Reilly, RSM, Sophia Academy is the only independent all-girls middle school in Rhode Island focusing on the intellectual and emotional growth of students from low-income families.
