All of the apartments have Section 8 rental assistance which allows each household to predictably pay 30% of its income for rent because the rental subsidies are ‘project-based’ meaning they accompany the property rather than a current resident guaranteeing the subsidy’s availability for future households. The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County works toward a future free from violence. They work collaboratively to offer safety, support, advocacy, education and a network of services to residents of Washington County. DVRCSC has a confidential safe home for women who face homelessness as a result of domestic violence. Additional services include a Drop-In Advocacy Center, Support Groups and One-on-One Counseling by appointment. They offer education and outreach on the subject of healthy relationships, dating violence, cyber stalking and techno-abuse. DVRCSC can provide Court Advocates at McGrath Judicial Complex in Wakefield.

Resort-style community provides private apartments for residents and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and medication management.

THE SCITUATE ANIMAL SHELTER is a municipal facility under the supervision of Scituate Animal Control, a division of the Scituate, Rhode Island Police Department. They take in animals from Scituate and Foster and provide care until we can find good homes for them. They also socialize all cats and dogs who need such work in order to be ready for life in a home and with a family. The shelter staff and the volunteers will go to great lengths to find homes for all animals that we have at the shelter.

Service can be customized to fit client needs including 24 hour care, respite care, or relief for family and dementia care. Personal Care Services: Bathing, grooming, hygiene, mobility assistance transferring and positioning, toileting and incontinence, feeding and special diet. Companionship Services: Meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, errands, incidental transportation, medication reminders.

Programs that provide job development, job training, job search, job placement, specialized job situations and other supportive services for individuals and groups who are having difficulty finding paid employment. These programs especially target people who have minimal job skills, veterans, older workers, youth, ex-offenders, public assistance recipients, refugees/immigrants, members of minority groups and others who are vocationally disadvantaged. Included are government-subsidized programs and those offered through the private sector.

CODAC East Bay programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD), intensified treatment programs (IOP), general outpatient treatment (GO) for alcohol and other substance use, behavioral healthcare services, tobacco cessation programs, and services for gambling addiction. CODAC East Bay, along with all other CODAC locations, has been awarded the designation of Center of Excellence (COE) for the treatment of opioid use disorder. As a designated COE, they have met or exceeded the highest standards of care (as determined by RI state agencies), are able to provide expedited access to treatment, and offer at least two of the three FDA approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (methadone, buprenorphine (SuboxoneTM, SubutexTM) and oral and depot naltrexone (VivitrolTM). CODAC sites are currently the only providers in RI authorized to dispense all three of these medications. As a COE, CODAC guarantees that treatment will begin within 48 hours of your first phone call.

The CCAP Food Bank provides nutritious food and support services to people in need with compassion, dignity and respect. They are a Choice Food Bank. Their Choice Food Bank enables people to “shop” through a food selection process, much like they would in a grocery store, rather than receiving pre-packaged bags. The Choice Bank creates a dignified experience that encourages the selection of healthy foods.
