Welcome to Rhode Island Al-Anon Family Groups. Al-Anon/Alateen is a worldwide fellowship of those who feel their lives have been deeply affected by someone else's drinking. ​ Many who come to Al-Anon/Alateen are in despair, feeling hopeless, unable to believe that things can ever change. We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We want and need help.

What we do Provide affordable services including contraceptives. Educate and counsel about birth control, reproductive health, and sexually-transmitted diseases. Screen for cervical, and breast cancer. Test for pregnancy. Provide infertility information, and referrals. Offer confidential HIV counseling, testing and referral services. Perform blood pressure checks, physical exams; and comprehensive health risk assessment. Implement routine pregnancy intention screening with One Key Question Model in which prevents disparities in maternal and infant health.

Primary Care, Pediatrics and Women’s care, Behavioral Health, Community Health, Enrollment Support Services, Express Health. Partners include: Advanced Radiology, CVS Pharmacy and Lifespan Lab, Physical and Occupational Therapy. Advanced Radiology is open for X-Ray services, CVS stocks the top 150 non-narcotic prescriptions on-site, Lifespan Lab is located on the first floor and ready to see patients.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Program provides food vouchers, allowing them to purchase milk, eggs, cheese, juice and iron fortified cereals and formula. The WIC coordinator provides nutrition education and counseling to all program participants on a monthly basis. Adult Day Health Care Program is for adults with chronic health conditions and medical or physical limitations. Provides a combination of social activities, health care and rehabilitation services, and personal care. Participants attend on a set schedule from two to five days a week based on availability.

Clínica Esperanza provides linguistically-appropriate, culturally-attuned medical care to uninsured adults living in Rhode Island. Since 2010, they have served more than 10,000 patients, 80% of whom are Spanish-speaking, through the clinic and health education programs. Free healthcare is provided by a team of multi-lingual volunteers and core staff. They believe healthcare is a human right.

MLK Jr. Community Center is a nonprofit service provider for at-risk individuals, families and seniors. Hunger Services On Site Food Pantry - providing non-perishable food, frozen meat, fresh produce, bread and household and personal care items to our Newport County residents. All clients are eligible to shop once per month. Mobile Food Pantry - visits neighborhoods across Newport County each month on a rotating schedule. The Ocean State Center for Independent Living (OSCIL) works in collaboration with the Gift of Hearing Program at the University of Rhode Island (URI) Speech & Hearing Center to provide low cost hearing aids to those in need.
