Located at the Exeter Chapel. The Exeter Emergency Food Bank (501c3) is separate from the Social Services Dept. However, because it is staffed by volunteers, anyone needing assistance is asked to call the Social Services department to schedule a time to pick up food. Appointments are made for Wednesday mornings beginning at 9 am or Wednesday afternoons. Emergency situations will open the food bank as needed. Donations to the Food Bank can be dropped off at Town Hall or at the Exeter Public Library. Thanksgiving/Winter Holiday baskets and toy distribution for area residents.

Functions as a Harm Reduction program including needle exchange, drug treatment referral, free condoms, free clothing and free HIV testing on-site. **Van also brings needle exchange to other areas of Rhode Island** Woonsocket: Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:30 PM (Arnold St., next to the Soup Kitchen.) Newport: Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. (Near MLK Center and Wheatland Blvd.) E.N.C.O.R.E. E - Education on HIV prevention. N - Needle exchange to reduce the risk of transmitting HIV and other comminicable diseases. C - Counseling on reducing risk, HIV testing, following through on medical care, and substance abuse treatment. O - Outreach into the community to identify potential clients for the E.N.C.O.RE program. RE - Referral to agencies and programs by request from the client.

The Ocean Tides School Providence Campus is an alternative day school for students in grades seven through twelve. Offering a full high school Rhode Island Regents diploma, the school is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Additionally, the Providence Campus offers a certified special education program and a career/technical education program. The student body at the Providence Campus is comprised of students referred by their school district for educational purposes (both regular and special education) and career/technical training. Each candidate is screened by the Director of Special Education and the Principal before admittance to ensure the student is ready and willing to enter the program. Given the severe educational difficulties these students have experienced in the past, Ocean Tides seeks to provide creative, individualized programs that meet the needs of all students. Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income.
