CCAP's Employment, Training, and Education Programs assist the youth of Rhode Island ages 14 - 24 through free education, training programs, Work Readiness and Job Placement assistance. They provide a full range of services to youth enrolled in school and out of school. All enrollees are connected with a case manager to assist them in their education or employment goals throughout the program. Cash incentives and bus tickets are given to those who qualify. The Shalom affordable housing complex, which includes Shalom and Shalom II Apartments, offers supportive living with services for seniors and the mobility impaired.

Services: To promote and foster increased literacy in southwestern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut through free, student-centered, volunteer teaching of basic literacy, English as a second language, and other literacy programs, primarily to adults.

Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. SHIP Counseling

Early Intervention works in partnership with families to promote the growth and development of infants and toddlers. Our services help children from birth to three years of age who have or may have a disability, are experiencing developmental delay, or are at risk for significant developmental problems. Early Intervention consists of a multidisciplinary team, which works in partnership with families. The team works diligently to provide services that are respectful of a family’s values, incorporating strategies into a child’s natural environments – meaning everyday life routines and places. All services are family-centered and individualized to ensure the most successful outcomes for a child and their family.

Will provide emergency shelter for the pets of domestic violence victims of Newport County in a crisis situation. Cost of Medical Care, Cost of Food and Supplies PLFA may be able to assist with pet food and other supplies. Support is based solely on current availability. Here are some helpful guidelines to help you in your search for an apartment that allows pets here. Behavior Issues- Is it a behavior issue? Introducing new pets or family members? Check our behavior resource library for solutions, our dog training classes, or our free behavior helpline. Rehoming your Own Pet, Surrendering Pets to the Potter League for Animals. We ask that you fill out a relinquishment personality profile form of the animal you are wishing to surrender: Dog personality profile, Cat Personality Profile, Small Mammal Personality Profile. You will receive an email once the surrender profile is reviewed. A Potter League counselor will be in contact to schedule an appointment or discuss other options for your pet. We may recommend a referral to another agency that is better equipped to assist you. Appointments are necessary and required to ensure the best possible solution for you and your pet. Gather necessary paperwork. Collect your pets medical history, if available. Please bring these records to your appointment. Your appointment will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. For everyone's safety, all pets should be either in a carrier or on a collar and leash when entering the building. Surrender Fees Dog or Puppy- $50, Cat or Kitten $35, Litters of 3+ Kittens $50, Rabbits $25, All other Small Animals $10.

Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) serves people who have disabilities or chronic care needs in the setting ideal for them and their families. Services may be episodic or on-going. Services may be provided in a person's home, the community (for example, shared living or assisted living), or institutional settings (for example, intermediate care facilities, hospitals, or nursing homes) to optimize their health and retain their independence. People of all ages may need long term care.
