Recruiting Offices for the United States Army. The United States Army is the land warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces. It is one of the seven uniformed services of the United States, and is designated as the Army of the United States in the United States Constitution.

** Volunteers must be a part of MRC before they are eligible for the DMAT team.** RI Responds is a complementary volunteer network working through the Statewide Emergency Registry of Volunteers (SERV - RI), the RI Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and RI Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) to offer a range of health professional volunteer opportunities for Rhode Islanders. This collaboration greatly enhances the effectiveness of deployment and response coordinated through the state's incident command system. There are three different programs within RI Responds. See right hand for each team.

WJAR is a RI based station and a NBC Television affiliate owned and operated by Sinclair Broadcast Group. Community Involvement The owner and Sinclair Broadcast Group, LLC. continue to broaden its recruiting outreach by effectively establishing communication with recruiting resources in the broadcasting community, professional organizations, community based organizations and outreach through our corporate and local station job opportunities websites. Examples of the efforts made by stations in this employment unit include an ongoing internship program with regional colleges and high schools. Our department managers attend job fairs at local and regional colleges in an effort to recruit candidates with an interest in a broadcast related field. We have also had numerous local schools come to our station for tours, and our news staff has gone directly to schools to speak to them about careers in Broadcasting.

Housing- two operating 6 unit apartment building for individuals with differing abilities and who meet income guidelines established by RI Housing. Shared Living- if an individual is interested in shared living, the agency will work with them to identify a home care provider preferably someone with whom they already have a relationship. 24 hour Supported Living Services- individuals who require a more intense level of support and supervision may choose to live in one of the 6 homes or 5 apartments operated by this agency within which 24 hour staff supports are available. Focus within these homes is on supporting individuals to develop skills needed to live, work and play successfully in their community.

The Sayesville/Fairlawn Fire District provides fire safety and fire protection services to the town of Lincoln.

The Adult Basic Education program includes academic assessments, classes for GED exam preparation, Adult Basic Education, post secondary educational assistance, and alternative diploma programs.

Provides free ESL, ABE, Pre-GED, and GED classes. The Center is an official GED testing site. Testing fee applies. Another program offered is the External Diploma Program, a competency based program. In addition, we offer vocational training programs and adult education courses.

The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans. Some of the services provided include social, medical, nursing and rehabilitative services. Services Approximately 208 beds. Assisted living and nursing care, including secure units (Alzheimer's care) and palliative care. X-ray, dental, and pharmacy services, physical therapy and occupational therapy, psych services, transportation to PVAMC. Rehabilitation Services includes physical and occupational therapy. Social Services includes individual and group therapy and specialized support groups. Transitional Services include short-term stays in dorms or a more intensive Transitional Supportive Program for homeless veterans. Activities and Services for Residents include movies, crafts, card games, bingo, birthday parties, cookouts and day trips. Religious Services are also available. In addition to the Veterans Home buildings, the facilities include a library, gift shop, cafe, bank, barbershop, and beautician. The Veterans Home has an active Family Council that is open to family members. They meet monthly to discuss common issues and concerns affecting the residents of the home.

Behavioral Health Link is a comprehensive program to service individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis (mental health and/or substance abuse use) by establishing a community based, 24/7 hotline and triage center. BH has 5 treatment bays and can assist 8-10 individuals at one time. The Block Island Tourism Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the town of New Shoreham as a leisure travel destination. The BITC’s promotional efforts include publication of a travel planner; a year-long advertising campaign directed at our leisure tourism market; targeted sales efforts; public relations strategy; participation in numerous trade shows; and a comprehensive website. The BITC is available to assist travel professionals including media, tour operators, and travel agents, aid in planning a meeting or corporate event, and provide information to help visitors enjoy the destination.

Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, or LIHEAP, offers assistance with managing costs associated with home energy bills. Tri-County is able to help with paying fuel and utility bills during the winter months for eligible clients, and we can arrange for the installation of home insulation to reduce home-heating costs (gas, electric, propane, oil, kerosene or wood) through our weatherization program.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is the only USDA Nutrition program that provides a monthly package of healthy, nutritious food specifically for low income seniors. Food package includes: cereal, fruit juice, protein items, shelf stable milk, peanut butter, pasta, cheese, and canned fruits and vegetables

Member of the Assistive Technology Access Partnership: Device demonstration, device loan, device re-use; training, public awareness, collaboration, information and referral. Provides demonstrations, training, and long-term loan and device reutilization services of specialized telephone equipment to qualified individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, have a speech disability, or have neuromuscular damage or disease, which hinders them from using a standard telephone. Assistive Technology Many people with disabilities face barriers that prevent them from living independently in their homes, and in many cases, they are also unaware of the many devices that can improve their daily lives. OSCIL works with individuals to acquire appropriate devices and provide training on the use of those devices to enhance the individual’s independence within their home and community. Assistive Technology Access Partnership (ATAP) OSCIL is one of 4 partners participating in the Assistive Technology Access Partnership (ATAP) program. ATAP is designed as a statewide partnership of organizations, each with a targeted assistive technology focus, working together to improve access to and acquisition of assistive technology for individuals with disabilities. Some programs may have income limits. An OSCIL Independent Living Coordinator will be happy to guide you and recommend the best program for your unique needs. OSCIL CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH THE SMART HOME TECHNOLOGY TO MODIFY YOUR HOME TO HELP YOU REACH YOUR GOALS AND INDEPENDENTLY CONTROL YOUR ENVIRONMENT. Individuals with disabilities may apply for technology through this program. This includes devices such as: -Smart locks -Video doorbells -Alerting systems -Smart hubs and 2 months of connectivity needed to control the devices. Family Support Center provides basic needs assistance to low income households and connects families to financial literacy and other programs to strengthen their financial condition. The Family Support Center serves low and moderate income Woonsocket residents depending on eligibility requirements for fund-specific programs.

Your comprehensive team of developmental specialists is designed based on your child’s unique needs. Among those who may be on your team are occupational and physical therapists, nurses, educators, speech and language therapists, social workers and service coordinators.
