Assisted Daily Living, Inc. provides clients with a wide array of services designed to ensure superior patient care in the familiar comfort of home, often providing a happier and more affordable alternative to nursing, or assisted living facilities. Services can be arranged for a few hours a week or around the clock. ADL begins by reviewing the specific needs of the client through discussions with family members, as well as the care recipient's doctor, social workers or therapists. A customized program of care is developed to manage the client's daily needs. ADL will match the clients needs to the best possible caregiver, based on both professional experience and on ability characteristics. THERAPIST'S - PT, OT, ST: Therapists including physical therapists, occupational and speech therapists assist in the rehabilitation of those with physical injuries or disease. Restoration of mobility, strength, dexterity, balance and communication skills is often the purpose for therapy. Helping individuals who are disabled by physical injuries or disease to regain maximum function with activities of daily living is always a main priority.

VSA arts Rhode Island maintains an ongoing student exhibition at the RI Department of Education's headquarters in downtown Providence to showcase the variety of artwork produced in the Access the Arts residencies and increase exposure for the talents of these student artists. This program expands awareness of the importance of arts in education. VSA arts Rhode Island provides poetry workshops for adults developmental disabilities, conducted by professional poets, at a variety of community sites throughout Rhode Island. A statewide poetry competition is sponsored annually with Blackstone Valley RI ARC. The first place recipient is given the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Prize. Additionally, VSA arts works with Rhode Island poets to participate in the International “One Heart, One World” Exhibition and other national poetry events. VSA arts Rhode Island, in collaboration with community organizations and galleries, presents exhibitions of artwork created by both emerging and established adult RI artists with disabilities, and sponsors artist receptions that engage the general public. Indie Cycle provides collection of old or unused electronics and some small appliances. Indie Cycle then transports CRT materials to one of the following: Good Point Recycling for proper disposal or re-manufacturing, Goodwill Industries (non-CRT materials) to be refurbished or demanufactured in their Providence facility, or local artists who utilize electronics and metals in their artwork. Indie Cycle guarantees that all items will be refurbished, reused, demanufactured or recycled legally, ethically and responsibly, but cannot guarantee specific items will have specific outcomes. In other words, your bad computer might be fixed (without your data!), your perfectly good television might be recycled, or your old odd antique or vintage device may become a piece of artwork. The most important thing is that your electronics will be diverted from the landfill and you don't have to do anything but contact Indie Cycle and maybe pitch in for gas.
