THE SCITUATE ANIMAL SHELTER is a municipal facility under the supervision of Scituate Animal Control, a division of the Scituate, Rhode Island Police Department. They take in animals from Scituate and Foster and provide care until we can find good homes for them. They also socialize all cats and dogs who need such work in order to be ready for life in a home and with a family. The shelter staff and the volunteers will go to great lengths to find homes for all animals that we have at the shelter.

Hopkins Manor, Ltd. is a 200-bed skilled nursing facility providing traditional nursing home care as well as sub-acute rehabilitation, hospice, respite and alzheimer’s care. They can accommodate both long and short term placement and resident admissions are facilitated seven days a week. Treatment programs integrate nursing, dietary, activities and other disciplines to promote recovery of functional skills. The goal is to achieve the highest practicable physical, mental and psychological well being while treating each resident with the utmost dignity and respect. RIWorks Statewide Community Partnersip – The RIWorks Statewide Community Partners network targets unemployed and underemployed individuals who are receiving assistance through the RI Department of Human Services RIWorks. The program provides access to a comprehensive range of supportive services with the goal of addressing barriers and increasing employability in order to obtain long-term stable employment.

Medicare is the country’s health insurance program for people age 65 or older. Certain people younger than age 65 can qualify for Medicare, too, including those with disabilities and those who have permanent kidney failure.

Problem Gambling Services of Rhode Island (PGSRI) offers programs and supports to individuals with gambling disorders. Funded by the Rhode Island Lottery and coordinated by CODAC, PGSRI provide individual assessment and referral to multiple providers throughout the state, including CODAC’s sites. For clients who are un- or underinsured, funding for 100% of treatment is provided through the RI Lottery. It is CODAC’s standard practice to screen all patients for disordered gambling. When we identify a patient as being a current or potential disordered gambler we offer them an assessment and referral to one of CODAC’s on-site specialists for individual counseling treatment. All CODAC clinicians have attended at least two trainings on the disorder. They also receive ongoing supervision and consultation from a Certified Gambling Addiction Specialist prior to delivering services.

Additionally, the Ethics Commission oversees the financial disclosure program which requires all elected officials, all candidates for public office and certain categories of persons appointed to serve as officers or members of state or municipal agencies to file statements annually.
