RIEOC has been an integral part of the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) assisting individuals with applying for financial aid (FAFSA) and completing college admissions applications. The EOC office also provides an array of other services: career counseling, GED and English as a Second Language classes referrals, assistance with foreign education evaluations, financial literacy and general educational information dissemination. The RIEOC office has as a goal providing support and motivation to students to assist them in meeting their academic potential.

Community Care Alliance strives to empower people experiencing economic insecurity, mental illness and addiction, housing issues, and trauma-related concerns. They provide clinical and support services for individuals and families with long-term needs associated with mental illness and substance abuse. Their goal is to help people live as independently and as fully integrated within the community as possible These might include basic needs assistance to address emergencies— counseling, treatment, support services and residential programs for individuals and families impacted by serious mental illness and addiction— emergency and supportive housing to prevent homelessness and promote stabilization— alternative education and services for families with young children and adolescents— and employment, financial literacy and vocational training to improve self-sufficiency.

The Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County works toward a future free from violence. They work collaboratively to offer safety, support, advocacy, education and a network of services to residents of Washington County. DVRCSC has a confidential safe home for women who face homelessness as a result of domestic violence. Additional services include a Drop-In Advocacy Center, Support Groups and One-on-One Counseling by appointment. They offer education and outreach on the subject of healthy relationships, dating violence, cyber stalking and techno-abuse. DVRCSC can provide Court Advocates at McGrath Judicial Complex in Wakefield.

A federally licensed non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Rhode Island community with blood and blood components. The Center has an active tissue typing laboratory which supports bone marrow transplantation and parentage testing. The Rhode Island Blood Center is a donor center for the National Marrow Donor Program and has an active Pheresis Program.

Provides scholarships and mentoring to children of currently and formerly incarcerated parents in order to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty, crime and addiction that too often threatens them. OSCIL works together with state and local government and public entities to eliminate architectural, communication, and attitudinal barriers. OSCIL has provided technical assistance to T.F. Greene Airport, area hospitals, Roger Williams Park, the Board of Canvassers, and many other private businesses and organizations to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Rhode Island Law 42-87-2. Individuals who experience barriers in the community, i.e. inaccessible restaurants, public events, schools, etc. are encouraged to call OSCIL for information and assistance. Part of OSCIL’s mission is to bring information to the community to help address barriers to independent living. If tongue-tie interferes with breastfeeding, a Dr. Paquin can clip the membrane to release the tongue) Care for dental injuries (e.g., fractured or knocked-out teeth)
