The Unit provides a safe, structured environment that meets physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs throughout the disease progression. An emphasis is placed on residents succeeding, dignity, and support of family members. Short Term Rehabilitative Care Short Term Rehabilitative Care is designed for individuals in need of rehabilitation following hip or knee replacement, heart attack, stroke, or other acute medical event. Our goal is to rehabilitate individuals to restore their previous level of functioning with the goal of returning back to their home. Skilled nursing services; on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapies are available. Short term stays range from one week to several weeks, depending upon the individual’s medical condition. Hospice Suite The Hospice Suite provides care for terminally ill individuals who qualify for general inpatient level of care. The Suite affords residents a lovely homelike environment with ample room for visiting family members.

Family Therapy is a 5 step Engagement- Develop positive perception of therapist and program; facilitate family's willingness to participate in counseling. Motivation- Increase hope and motivation for change; Reduce family negativity and blaming; address risk factors associated with treatment drop out. Relational Assessment- Identify relational functions, needs, and hierarchy within the family. Behavioral Change- build youth's and family members' skills related to specific referral issues; Reduce family conflict and address family patterns that maintain the presenting problems. Generalization-Increase family resources and extra-familial support; maintain and generalize changes; Prevent relapse. Functional Family Therapy provides a lifeline to youth and families strained by the cycle of risky behavior, disengagement, criminal infraction, or a breakdown in family relationships.

Hospice is the most appropriate medical treatment option when an individual has decided to discontinue medical treatment and focus on comfort and quality of life. Hospice encompasses the needs of the individual's family or caregivers so that together, they are able to fully enjoy meaningful time together. Providing care at the place the patient calls home is the basic philosophy of hospice, whether it is at home, in a family member's home, a nursing home, an assisted living, or a residential care facility.

Westbay’s Lead Center provides a Case Manager who will walk families through the application process. This program provides forgivable loans to mitigate the hazards of lead-based paint and to make your home a healthier and safer place to live. The LeadSafe Homes Program is available to homeowners and landlords at no cost to qualifying customers. The Lead Center provides community outreach and education about lead-related issues. Westbay’s case managers can make home visits to assess for lead hazards and/or provide education to families with children under six years of age with no referral. Assessment The Lead Center offers free in-home lead assessments to any property owner, landlord, or tenant worried about lead paint hazards. Assessments are especially important for households with young children and for those who are planning to renovate. Case Management The Lead Center provides non-medical case management for families of children with lead poisoning. Case managers help families coordinate medical care, developmental screenings, and nutritional counseling. They can also offer assistance with housing inspections or relocation.

Residential school for boys, grades seven through twelve. Offering a full high school diploma, the school is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). In addition, we offer a certified special education program and career/technical education programming. Our student body is comprised of Ocean Tides residential students and students referred by their school district for education purposes (both regular and special education). Each candidate is screened by the Director of Special Education and the Principal before admittance to ensure the student is ready and willing to enter the program. Given the severe educational difficulties these students have experienced in the past, Ocean Tides seeks to provide creative, individualized programs that meet the needs of all in our care. We provide: Positive behavior program and multiple positive behavioral supports, including stipends paid to students. GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. This program also provide information and resources for people inquiring about gambling recovery. Not allied with any sect denomination, politics, organization or institution. The primary purpose is to carry the message to the compulsive gambler who still suffers. Values anonymity for the group and organization.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) designs, constructs, and maintains the state's surface transportation system. RIDOT employs 700 people in the State of Rhode Island and maintains 1,100 miles of roadway, 724 urban and 374 rural, 1,178 bridges, Five rail stations, and 60 miles of pedestrian and bike paths with its $570 Million annual budget.

Programs that provide ground vehicles which transport acutely ill or injured individuals to health care facilities for treatment or from one health care facility to another for specialized care. Ambulances are equipped and staffed to provide medical care during transit and, in communities where the municipality contracts with the company as their emergency medical service provider, are dispatched when residents contact 911 with a medical emergency, not accessed directly. Depending on the terms of the contract, the ambulance company may be the municipality's primary first responder, may serve in a backup capacity when the city's service is busy or may handle the transport component of the service while the city's paramedic/EMT service functions as the first responder. Ambulance companies may also provide emergency transport for people who want to go somewhere other than where the municipality's emergency medical service is authorized to take them.
