Founded in 1971, CODAC Behavioral Healthcare is Rhode Island’s oldest and largest non-profit, outpatient provider of treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). With seven community-based locations, as well as programming at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RI DOC), CODAC is well-positioned to deliver services wherever they are needed across the state. CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff. It is not unusual to have both mental health disorders and a substance use disorder. Because the two conditions are so closely linked, CODAC has responded to offer you effective treatment and recovery programs to address both disorders concurrently.

The mission of the City of Warwick's Division of Emergency Management is to be the local public safety organization providing comprehensive, risk-based, and coordinated emergency management operations. The Warwick Emergency Management Agency Director is Major Rick Rathbun. The staff manages the Warwick Emergency Operations Center (EOC), a state of the art facility where key members of the City Departments gather during activations to determine situational status, coordinate actions and make critical decisions during emergency situations.

Medicare is managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Social Security works with CMS by enrolling people in Medicare. Medicare is the country’s health insurance program for people age 65 or older. Certain people younger than age 65 can qualify for Medicare, too, including those with disabilities and those who have permanent kidney failure.

They will also help clients and the members of their family understand their current situation and give counseling and advice accordingly.

A transitional housing program for male veterans. Vets may stay for up to 24 months and receive food and clothing, case management, education, and counseling services. Counseling services include mental health including PTSD and substance abuse/ gambling counseling/intervention, legal services, resume building and budget counseling and more. The goal of the program is to help homeless Veterans achieve residential stability, increase their skill levels or income, and obtain greater self-determination.

Project Learn Adult & Family Literacy Program provides access to services and supports for adult learners to help them achieve their educational and workplace goals. Services for individuals age 16 and up include: ESL Classes, Basic Skills, Pre-GED and GED Classes and NEDP Classes.

Caregiver Homes of Rhode Island’s community-based program has helped families provide high-quality, 24-hour care for elders at home. We help make it possible for a family member or friend to become the primary in-home caregiver by providing them with the support and financial assistance they need. In Rhode Island, our Structured Family Caregiving model is known as RIte @ Home.

Offers in home Speech Therapy to help with swallowing or communications

They provide clinical and support services for individuals and families with long-term needs associated with mental illness and substance abuse. Their goal is to help people live as independently and as fully integrated within the community as possible

Provides legal services for patients in psychiatric facilities. Investigates complaints about conditions in psychiatric facilities and group homes. Takes all necessary actions to protect the rights of patients in psychiatric facilities, residents of group homes and clients of community mental health centers.

Preventive dental care (such as brushing and diet/nutrition recommendations); regular cleaning and fluoride treatments; and use of sealants to prevent cavities. Dr. Paquin also may: Provide mouth guards (to prevent sports injuries) Provide or recommend special preventive care to safeguard against problems, such as teething and gum disease Offer habit counseling (e.g., thumb sucking, pacifier use) Offer assessment and treatment for teeth straightening and improper bite in the young child (orthodontics) Repair tooth cavities and/or defects Diagnose oral conditions associated with diseases such as diabetes, congenital heart defects, asthma and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder Diagnose and treat dental developmental difficulties (e.g., root canals on adult teeth that have not fully formed) Provide management of gum diseases and conditions, such as pediatric periodontal disease, ulcers and tongue-tie (when the membrane that attaches the tongue to the floor of the mouth is shorter than normal. Services: An assisted living, 10 bed residence for HIV+ people, a part of AIDS Care Ocean State's Supportive Housing Program. Sunrise offers a comprehensive program that includes medical support, case management and social support in a drug and alcohol free environment.
