Men and Women Residential treatment combines vital counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance use disorder, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire successful life skillsProvides treatment for substance dependent adults. Continuum of care ranges from medically monitored detoxification to short- and long-term residential treatment. The detoxification program offers safe withdrawal from substance use, admitting clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Each client is seen by a licensed physician. The average length of stay is between four and seven days, with an extended-stay option of up to 30 additional days. For those requiring longer treatment, residential care is available for longer than 90 days. Counseling, educational, and recreational programs that challenge residents to understand the nature of their substance abuse, commit to living without alcohol and drugs, and acquire successful life skills. Because successful recovery requires the involvement and support of each resident's family, individual and group family sessions are integral components of treatment. Phoenix House also offers individualized aftercare tracks, key components of completion.

A one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, an educational stipend, and corporate apprenticeships. During the first six months of the program, participants focus on skill mastery in Desktop Support / IT Help Desk; and the professional skills required in today's workplace such as effective communication, leadership, and teamwork. During the second six months of the program, students are placed in apprenticeships with local partner companies. A stipend is provided to all participants throughout the one-year, full-time educational program. In addition, Year Up students have an opportunity to earn up to 18 college credits through articulation agreements with NEIT and J&W University.

A 70 bed comprehensive inpatient/outpatient medical rehabilitation program, transitional care unit, neuro behavioral unit for stroke and brain injury patients, transitional living apartments, staff of specialized medical rehabilitation therapists and nursing professionals. Stroke Specialty The Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Program, a CARF recognized program, provides adults needing therapy to improve their function and quality of life. Our patients have been diagnosed with cerebral vascular accidents (CVA), intracranial hemorrhages, and thrombo/embolic strokes. Neurorehabilitation This program treats patients with diagnoses such as brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis. Our dedicated staff work with patients to regain the skills to walk, communicate and live more independently. Our therapists also treat patients with cognitive and/or behavioral disabilities. Orthopedic Our rehabilitation program treats patients after hip fractures, joint replacement, and multiple trauma. We strive to always improve our therapy, and our orthopedic program’s innovations have been published in major rehabilitation journals. Polling Places: vote.ri.gov Elections The Elections Division works to make sure elections are fair, fast, and accurate. We also maintain the state's central voter registration system and promote voter registration. Business Services The Business Services Division works to provide you with the resources need to begin, maintain, and grow your business. As the official repository for business and commercial records, we maintain the records of over 65,000 registered corporate entities. State Archives, Library and Public Information The State Archives, State Library, and Public Information Division works to ensure that Rhode Islanders have easy access to government records and publications, state laws, information about legislative sessions, agency regulations, and the structures of state government. There are four units that comprise the Division—the State Archives and The Public Records Administration, the State Library, the Office of Public Information, and the Administrative Rules Office. The State Archives and Public Records Administration ensures that our state’s historic documents are preserved and made accessible to the public. It also oversees a statewide Records Management program to support state agencies and local governments. The State Library assists lawmakers and the public with current and historical research, and serves as the legislative library for the State. The Office of Public Information ensures and strengthens government transparency and accessibility through the publication of meeting minutes and agendas, registration and reporting of lobbying relationships, and disclosures of appointments to State Boards and Commissions. The Administrative Rules Office manages rules and regulations filed with the Department of State by state agencies. Collectively, these units work to ensure that information is transparent, accessible, and available to all Rhode Islanders. Finance & Personnel The Finance & Personnel Division provides human resource support to the employees who work for the Department of State. The Finance & Personnel Division is responsible for managing the budget and vendor relations. eGovernment and Information Technology Division The eGov and IT Division is responsible for ensuring that Rhode Islanders are able to access public records through the Department of State's website and other electronic avenues. The eGov and IT Division maintains the Department of State's infrastructure for internal and public users and provides data sharing capabilities to state agencies throughout Rhode Island.

A community-based resource that provides coordinated and comprehensive services which educate, nourish, assist, entertain and enrich the lives of individuals 55 years of age and older. The department is comprised of divisions designed to inform, entertain and enrich the lives of those who participate. Adult Day Services - Professionally designed programs to meet the needs of frail individuals with physical and/or cognitive impairments. Professional staff consists of registered nurses, a case manager, physical therapy assistant and certified nursing assistants. Therapeutic programs include music, art, physical, occupational, speech, aroma, pet therapy. Recreational activities include crafts, painting, exercise, gardening, Tai Chi and Yoga for elders. Intergenerational programs with local schools provide enrichment opportunities for both young and old alike. Support and Referral Services for each participant and their families, coordination with physicians and other service providers. Cost is based on a sliding fee scale. Licensed by the RI Office of Healthy Aging. Nutrition - Provides hot, nutritious, homemade lunches served at 11:45AM, Monday through Friday. Snack bar with freshly baked goods, soups and much more. Night Life - Dinners, Thursday at 5:00PM in the Spring and Fall. Programs - Offers activities that enable seniors to expand their horizons, enrich their lives and pursue a variety of interests. Our programs promote wellness, health maintenance, personal dignity and self worth. Health programs and screenings include blood pressure, hearing, glucose, flu clinic, SNAP and URI Pharmacy Outreach Program. Individual needs, interests, skills and abilities are addressed through a variety of stimulating educational, social and health activities to improve the quality of life. Retired Senior Volunteer Program - Allows anyone 55+ years of age the opportunity to help make the community a better place to live by sharing themselves with others. Participants gain personal satisfaction by serving at a public or non-profit agency. They also have fun by participating in interesting and rewarding experiences. Seniors serve from one to 40 hours a week; RSVP provides guidance and support, transportation, meals and insurance for all volunteers. Social Services - A caring staff of professional case managers and a Community Elder Information Specialist is available to provide support and counseling to seniors and their families, provide access to a network of service providers throughout the city and state, assist with the many available services, offer comfort and compassion, visit homebound seniors to assess and case manage, coordinate Support Groups such as Widow/Widower; Arthritis; Reminiscence. The staff is available to speak to your community organization on a wide variety of issues. Transvan 401-943-3341 - Daily transportation system for 60+ and/or disabled Cranston residents is available to provide transportation anywhere in Cranston, Monday through Friday. Provides shuttles to nearby malls and local markets. Provides transportation to doctors, nursing homes and hospitals in Providence, North Providence, Johnston and Warwick by appointment.

WARM provides five separate, individual rooms of long-term transitional housing. This program, known as WARM-Up, occupies the same building – but not the same floor – as the shelter. Participants in this program may stay up to two years. WARM Supportive Homes provides permanent housing to six disabled individuals and two families with disabled adult members. We provide a safe, supportive environment, and thorough case management.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Rhode Island is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families stay in their homes through a variety of ways, primarily by providing necessary home repairs and modifications. NHN RI offers services including building wheelchair ramps, painting houses indoor or out, repairing porches or steps, patching roofs, and fixing windows. All of these can make real differences to neighbors in need. Necessary home repairs are often left undone when people are faced with the need to stretch their paycheck, disability check, or Social Security income. In some cases, completing this work is the only way people are able to stay in their homes and remain independent.
