Foundations Academy (formerly the Regional Alternative Program): Provides special needs students - diagnosed with behavioral and emotional disorders - with an alternative to traditional schools. Foundations Academy (formerly the Specialized Alternative Program): Students who learn differently and have different abilities need the help and guidance of educators who are specially trained to develop and maximize those abilities. Educators in the Foundations Academy work to identify a student’s skills and their potential for learning new skills. Educators, parents and students then develop a progressive plan tailored to an individual’s educational needs and social well-being.

Overnight shelter, dental services, food pantry, clothing room, and meal programs. **Overnight Shelter Provides emergency, overnight shelter for 75 to 90 homeless men and 15 to 30 homeless women, seven nights a week. Each overnight guest has the ability to take a hot shower, eat a hot dinner, sleep in a clean bed, and have breakfast in the morning. **Food & Clothing We operate an emergency food pantry and a clothing room. Individuals and families use these services on a daily basis. We distribute approximately 16,000 lbs. of food and 5,000 articles of clothing each month. **Meal Programs Our meal programs provide approximately 6,000 hot meals a month to the needy in our community as well as 1,700 box lunches to the children. In addition to our feeding ministry, we do special events during the holidays. This past Thanksgiving we provided Thanksgiving food boxes for 1,600 families in the Providence area. Each box contained 20 pounds of non-perishable food and a 20 pound turkey. At Christmastime, we provided 9,300 gifts to over 3,100 needy families through our Christmas Toy Ministry. **Dental Offices In a phrase - state-of-the-art. The Providence Rescue Mission features a full service dental office that helps Individuals start a new life with a smile they can proud of. Our office features x-ray, full cleaning, and other dental services. Local dentists and staff see patients by appointment only. **Discipleship Program We run a one-year discipleship program that allows 10 to 15 homeless men with, but not limited to, substance abuse issues to start a new life by combining biblical values, counseling, education and career training and reunification with their families. This program is at capacity most of the time.

Intensive Outpatient Program The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at CODAC is an ideal opportunity for those individuals who find they have a need for increased access to support and treatment. IOP is approximately 8 weeks, and consists of individual and group sessions totaling a minimum 9 hours per week. IOPs may be utilized at any point along the treatment or recovery cycle and based on level of therapeutic need. If you are interested in this level of care speak with your CODAC provider. General Outpatient Services General Outpatient Programs are for individuals interested in treatment for Substance Use Disorder symptoms. General Outpatient programs utilize scheduled individual and group counseling sessions and drug/alcohol testing to assist patients in identifying and maintaining healthy life choices. CODAC counselors also work with the patient to integrate recovery support services in their treatment. We will to continue working with patients who have met their initial goals and want to maintain and strengthen their recovery. CODAC counselors work closely with their patients to achieve individual goals and/or meet the requirements of the referring authority. Most importantly, our programs are designed to assist individuals to develop and integrate a recovery oriented lifestyle that includes family, friends, health, wellness, joy and productivity. All CODAC programs emphasize the value recovery oriented lifestyle benefits and encouraged strongly encourage the integration of family members into the treatment and recovery process.

The Rhode Island Veterans Home is a 110-acre complex on Mount Hope Bay in Bristol. The home provides quality nursing and residential care to Rhode Island war veterans. Some of the services provided include social, medical, nursing and rehabilitative services. Services Approximately 208 beds. Assisted living and nursing care, including secure units (Alzheimer's care) and palliative care. X-ray, dental, and pharmacy services, physical therapy and occupational therapy, psych services, transportation to PVAMC. Rehabilitation Services includes physical and occupational therapy. Social Services includes individual and group therapy and specialized support groups. Transitional Services include short-term stays in dorms or a more intensive Transitional Supportive Program for homeless veterans. Activities and Services for Residents include movies, crafts, card games, bingo, birthday parties, cookouts and day trips. Religious Services are also available. In addition to the Veterans Home buildings, the facilities include a library, gift shop, cafe, bank, barbershop, and beautician. The Veterans Home has an active Family Council that is open to family members. They meet monthly to discuss common issues and concerns affecting the residents of the home.
