Most animal control programs are unable to handle nuisance wildlife unless the animal is sick or shows symptoms of rabies.

Thrive’s staff help clients learn how to control the symptoms of their mental illness and achieve increased independence in all aspects of their daily lives. Thrive offers two types of supportive living environments: Group Homes and Supervised Apartments.

They work to facilitate long-range planning activities that result in the development of comprehensive strategies to safeguard the public and property. This section is responsible for the administration of the National Flood Insurance Program, statewide emergency planning, including the ongoing enhancement of Rhode Island's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and the coordination of local and state plans, utilizing an all-hazards approach. The Planning and Mitigation Section also focuses on current topics in emergency management, such as improving the State's resiliency to climate change and for future disasters through adaptation and mitigation programs.

Cedar Crest Subacute and Rehabilitation programs, a 156 bed medical center, were designed for patients with physical, medical and cognitive impairments who would benefit from patient-centered care and an interdisciplinary team approach. Our goal is to work with patients to achieve their optimum level of functioning. When those treatment goals are met, the patient is ready to move on. Treatment plans can include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapy, along with nursing care oriented to the needs of rehabilitation patients. The patients most appropriate for this program are those whose diagnoses are orthopedic conditions, stroke, neurological disorders, or those who have experienced general weakness or de-conditioning following surgery or an illness. Member of the Assistive Technology Access Partnership: Device demonstration, device loan, device re-use; training, public awareness, collaboration, information and referral. Provides demonstrations, training, and long-term loan and device reutilization services of specialized telephone equipment to qualified individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, have a speech disability, or have neuromuscular damage or disease, which hinders them from using a standard telephone. Child Student service- provides assistive technology evaluations, consultations and trainings for children and students from Early Intervention (birth to 3) through grade 12 (or the age of 21). They provide consultation services and training to educational team members and families to insure that they are able to support students fully in school, the community and at home. Adult Services- offers a variety of services for adults, including Evaluations (Augmentative Communication, Assistive Technology, Workplace Accommodations, Computer Access, and evaluations for individuals with Low Vision; Consultations; Training; Therapy (AAC and AT); and Tech Support. Services can occur in the individual's home or workplace or here at our center.

In addition to 24 hour/seven days a week nursing care, Saint Antoine Residence offers the following special services: Special Care Unit The Special Care Unit is a 60-bed unit for residents with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. The Unit provides a safe, structured environment that meets physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs throughout the disease progression. An emphasis is placed on residents succeeding, dignity, and support of family members. Short Term Rehabilitative Care Short Term Rehabilitative Care is designed for individuals in need of rehabilitation following hip or knee replacement, heart attack, stroke, or other acute medical event. Our goal is to rehabilitate individuals to restore their previous level of functioning with the goal of returning back to their home. Skilled nursing services; on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapies are available. Short term stays range from one week to several weeks, depending upon the individual’s medical condition. Hospice Suite The Hospice Suite provides care for terminally ill individuals who qualify for general inpatient level of care. The Suite affords residents a lovely homelike environment with ample room for visiting family members.
