Fox Point Senior Center works with: Meals on Wheels, URI School of Pharmacy, URI School of Nursing, Department of Elderly Affairs, The City of Providence, SNAP, The Fox Point Boys' and Girls' Clun, United Way 211, and senior employment services. Their mission is to provide seniors and individuals with disabilities a daily hot meal, health and wellness programs, information and referral programs, translation services and individual attention as needed.

A Batterers Intervention Program is a psycho-educational group led by trained professional facilitators. Each meeting is an hour and a half to two hours long, and meetings are held every week for a minimum of 20 weeks. Fees are collected, but programs can make accommodations as needed. Ask your parole officer or program staff about available options. Participants are held accountable for their attendance, must be on time, and cannot miss a meeting. The Norman Bird Sanctuary constitutes the largest area of preserved open space in Newport County. A wildlife refuge, NBS encompasses over 300 acres and seven miles of trails that wind through diverse habitats. Nearly 30 acres are maintained as hay fields. Woodlands are the most prominent plant community, and four ridges provide spectacular views of the surrounding ocean and ponds. Located next to the Visitor's Center and gift shop, the Sanctuary's 19th Century Barn Museum features natural history displays and a children's area with interpretive murals and hands-on exhibits.

The new Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) helps eligible low-income households afford and maintain access to drinking water and wastewater services through federal grants. The Rhode Island Department of Human Services is the administrator of the federal LIHWAP funds and households can apply online or in-person at CCAP. LIHWAP is a customer-based program where qualified, low-income households can apply to receive a one-time payment of up to $500 for past due water and wastewater bills. Payments are made directly to the household’s utility company. Households can receive the LIHWAP grants for both drinking water and for wastewater services.
