Physical Therapy The goal of physical therapy is to restore the patient to his/her maximum physical strength, flexibility, coordination, and independence. Our registered PTs begin by assessing the patient's physical functions and mobility and consulting with the physician to develop personalized treatment plans. Rehabilitative services are available for post-operative joint replacements, musculoskeletal trauma, orthopedic problems, and neurological disorders.

Mutual support groups whose members are people who have a disability, illness or other health condition, their families and friends. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and provide an opportunity for participants to share information, resources, practical tips for daily living and encouragement about issues related to the disability or health problem.

Based on the participant’s job readiness skills, they may be placed in either a paid or unpaid work experience with one of our collaborating business partners. Participants will also be encouraged to seek employment in the private sector.

The Admiral Terrace development is located adjacent to Chad Brown in the city’s Wanskuck neighborhood, and the two (along with a senior/disabled development on-site called Sunset Village) are collectively referred to as “Chad Brown”. Admiral Terrace was completed in 1951 and, along with Chad Brown, underwent a $16.5 million modernization project from 1986 to 1989. More recently, the on-site community center was renovated and an outdoor tot lot was installed. The community center has a gym, offices, meeting/activity rooms and a computer center. Admiral Terrace is comprised of 2 story brick row-house buildings with units ranging in size from two to four bedrooms.

A group of residents affected by foreclosure who work together to put an end to foreclosure and foreclosure-related evictions. The program provides direct outreach and case management to residents of foreclosed properties through door knocking, provide support and legal advice to individuals, propose legislation to protect residents and sanction foreclosing banks and lenders, and utilize direct action to keep people in their homes.

Behavioral Health Link is a comprehensive program to service individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis (mental health and/or substance abuse use) by establishing a community based, 24/7 hotline and triage center. BH has 5 treatment bays and can assist 8-10 individuals at one time. Home Care We all need a little help sometimes. Home care services help people age strong in the community, connecting them with in-home supports, adult day health programming, and/or assisted living services. For older adults with care needs, the @Home Cost-Share program is available to help with some care expenses. Eligible participants can access in-home services – such as help with housekeeping, meal preparation or personal care – and/or community-based programming at adult day health centers at a reduced rate. You may be eligible for the program if you are age 65 or older, meet income guidelines, and need some assistance in the home with your personal or health care. The Rhode Island Vehicle Inspection Program exists to ensure that the vehicles operating on the Rhode Island roadways are safe and environmentally clean. Rhode Island Law requires that vehicles be inspected on a regular basis. All inspections are conducted in accordance with the state's Official Manual for Motor Vehicle Inspection.

Provide support and training to deaf individuals with diverse disabilities. The philosophy of our program is to provide social, habilitation and employment services to deaf people with diverse disabilities and others with unique communication needs in an independence and empowerment-based model that facilitates living, learning and working successfully as integrated members of the community. Services are concentrated in four areas: Day Program, Residential Program, Employment Services (training, internship, job coaching, paid employment) and Community Outreach/Involvement, which includes attending cultural and civic events, volunteering with neighborhood clean-up and enhancement projects, and working with staff at Fairs and Conventions to promote Corliss services and activities to parents, schools, businesses and public agencies.
