The Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence has been collaborating with the USCCB/MRS for nearly 30 years in their humanitarian mission of the resettlement of refugees in the United States. This program is appropriate for anyone in need of immigration services and refugee resettlement casework and is available in multiple languages including: English, Spanish, French, Tigrini and Amharic. The application process varies depending on the immigration status of the individual and application guidelines vary depending on the immigration status. There are fees required by the Department of Homeland Security. In addition, the diocesan office has a fee schedule for the services provided. The financial situation of the client is considered; fees are based on the individual’s income, and payment plans are available.

Securities Regulation is responsible for the registration of certain securities, the licensing and regulation of broker dealers, sales representatives, certain investment advisers and certain investment adviser representatives. Outpatient programs are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

The Elms Apartments —a project based Section 8 and Tax Credit Development designed for the Families, Elderly (62 years of age and older) and/or person with disabilities under 62 years of age. The community consists of (120 apts.) 57 one bedroom, 51 two bedroom, and 12 three bedroom apartments and is smoke free.

Roberts Health Center’s residents have access to medical, dental, podiatric, x-ray and rehabilitation Services. If hospitalization is necessary, it will be provided under a transfer agreement with South County, Newport, Rhode Island, Roger Williams, Kent, Fatima, and Westerly Hospitals. All other instate or out of state Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and Home Care Agencies may be used as deemed appropriate.
