Elmwood Commons is a subsidized housing community. Most apartments have Section 8 contract rents – you must go to the office to fill out these applications in order to get on the wait lists. But we have a few apartments that are Low Income Housing Tax Credit Apartments with no rental subsidy. These units (1 & 2 br) are on West Ave in Pawtucket and (2br & 3br) are on Gilmore & Bridgham Streets in Providence. There are no other locations.

ADPA sponsors community activities, and support groups, and exercise groups for people suffering from Parkinson's and their friends and families throughout the state. Thundermist’s behavioral health team includes licensed social workers, mental health counselors, and psychiatric clinical nurse specialists. They provide individual and group counseling, integrated behavioral health interventions, case management, and referrals. Thundermist behavioral health services program provides open access and immediate crisis-oriented interventions to patients, as well as follow up.

Roberts Health Center’s residents have access to medical, dental, podiatric, x-ray and rehabilitation Services. If hospitalization is necessary, it will be provided under a transfer agreement with South County, Newport, Rhode Island, Roger Williams, Kent, Fatima, and Westerly Hospitals. All other instate or out of state Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and Home Care Agencies may be used as deemed appropriate.

In accordance with the Congregate Meal Program financed through a grant with R.I. Office of Healthy Aging, Senior Services, Inc. provides nutritionally balanced lunches five days a week at meal sites throughout northern R.I. Senior Services, Inc. offers activities, entertainment, computer classes, and Wellness programs, including our weekly blood pressure clinic and exercise classes. Senior Services, Inc. also offers an Adult Day Program ("A Home for the Day"), and a Community Information Specialist who can provide information on eligibility for all state and local programs.
