The Workers' Compensation Division monitors the workers' compensation system, ensuring that appropriate documents are filed to protect injured workers and employers, that claims are paid correctly, that all required employers have insurance coverage, and that insurance carriers report policy information to the Division. The Division also compiles information about injuries and costs, provides educational services, and investigates fraud. The Robert F. Arrigan Rehabilitation Center provides physical and vocational rehabilitation services for injured workers.

Services: Houses 29 families and 8 women daily. Shelter stays are limited to 90 days but can be renewed based on progress demonstrated by participants or impending permanent housing. Case managers assist participants with healthcare, employment and establishing permanent housing. Help also available for: mental health issues, addiction, developmental delays in children, parenting and domestic violence. Case managers access services directly through Family Resources Community Action Program or collaborative agreements with other local non profit organizations.

Services include but are not limited to multidisciplinary care planning and case management, information and referral, nursing and personal care, nutritional services, therapeutic activities, and assistance in accessing transportation, financial assistance, and other health and enabling services. Through collaborative, contractual and cooperative agreements, the Center is able to enhance core services with physical, occupational and speech therapies; hospice care; podiatry; hair care and a variety of special programs. The staff team includes registered and licensed practical nurses, case managers, certified nursing assistants and activity professionals who create individualized plans of care for each client.

Supports seniors and those with disabilities by providing opportunities for socialization, recreation, nutrition, education, information and referral, volunteering, health & fitness and all aspects of social services. They offer a full calendar of activities, including card games, bocce, walking, arts & crafts, yoga, exercise, Zumba, line dancing, bocce, bingo, and gardening (seasonally). They sponsor multiple field trips per month and educational presentations. The Social Services Office provides a wide range of resources, help and services to members of their community including SNAP/EBT applications, housing applications, heating assistance, Medicare, property tax relief and other case-by-case needs. Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. ADL begins by reviewing the specific needs of the client through discussions with family members, as well as the care recipient's doctor, social workers or therapists. Home Assessment: evaluate home safety needs, arrange for adaptive equipment. Therapy: assess, plan, perform and evaluate physical therapy to regain strength and maximal activities of daily living plan. Teaching: instruct prescribe exercise regime and safe ambulation with/without assistive devices. Assistance: help perform prescribed exercises, report progress to physician. MSW: Social Workers assist in the evaluation of social, emotional and environment factors affecting the ill and disabled. They may provide family or individual counseling for those in need or a crisis situation. Medical Social Workers offer support and often help indentify and locate appropriate community resources: Home care services, adult daycare, respite, long term care planning, financial assistance and support groups.
