A children's policy and advocacy organization that provides information on child well being, stimulates dialogue on children's issues and promotes accountability and action. The annual Rhode Island KIDS COUNT Factbook provides a detailed community by community picture of the condition of children in the State. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT also publishes a quarterly Issue Brief series that provides additional data and policy analysis on children's issues. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT contributes to public policy development by leading and participating in government committees, providing information and data based testimony to policy makers and convening public policy forums.

Senior Inpatient Treatment Unit: Inpatient services for adults age 65 years and older, the geriatric unit is led by a specialized treatment team well versed in conditions such as Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders as well as depression, anxiety and other mood or psychotic disorders that may cause behavioral difficulties. The clinical team works to stabilize the patient for return home or to an assisted living campus with a comprehensive transition of care process. Memory and Aging Program: An internationally renowned research program dedicated to developing breakthroughs in prevention and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, while this is not a clinical care program, it offers hope to those at risk or exhibiting memory loss symptoms. With multiple research trials underway, including registry for future studies, participants are people with normal memory who may be at jeopardy for dementia and those who are already experiencing signs of cognitive decline.

Domestic Violence is one of the leading causes of homelessness for women. As an affiliate member of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, we provide integrated services to address the unique needs of domestic violence survivors, as we work with them to break the cycle of violence and find secure, stable housing. Through the Domestic Violence Program we offer comprehensive trauma-informed services for domestic violence survivors, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, advocacy, support groups, and children's enrichment programs. The Domestic Violence Program is primarily an emergency shelter program with a focus on safety and housing. The shelter provides safety for 26 domestic violence survivors and their children in a confidential location separate from other Crossroads properties. Clients have access to Crossroads Rhode Island’s range of services, including basic needs assistance, education, employment services and intensive case management, while they work to find a secure and stable home.
