Maxim Healthcare Services has two decades of experience providing long-term, continuous care to chronically ill patients. In keeping with the exemplary standards of the homecare industry, all of our offices are licensed, as required, and are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). Maxim�s nurses are screened, licensed, and bonded for quality and have experience providing care for adult and pediatric patients with a variety of illnesses. OLIS provides sservices and programs for all types of libraries, including public, academic, school and special libraries. Operates the Talking Books Library; to provide digital audiobooks, braille books and other reading materials and equipment for free to Rhode Island residents who are visually impaired, blind, or physically handicapped and unable to read standard print materials.

FOOD/HOT MEALS In their fight against hunger and food insecurity, they provide thousands of meals annually through a great team of volunteers in four primary communities: Woonsocket, Pawtucket, Providence, and West Warwick. They serve healthy fresh meals to those in need. They go beyond handing out care packages by serving hot meals to the homeless. At their weekly food services, their volunteers provide a valuable human interaction and guidance to available programs to those in need. In addition, we may deliver food to those who cannot reach their food distribution locations. This historic building, formerly known as St. Maria's Home. This mid-rise has been restored to its original grandeur and offers 57 subsidized units of elderly housing comprised of 5 studio units and 52 one-bedroom units. The Governor was completed in December of 1996 and continues to provide quality housing for elderly citizens who otherwise would be residing in a public senior citizen facility.

EBCAP’s Community Programs are designed to help people to reach their full potential. It is their goal to create the bridge to self-reliance. Their programs improve lives through education, skills training, and clinical care when needed. A program like Baby Steps is a great place for parents to learn how their child develops. Their Home Energy Assistance Program helps those who can’t afford to heat their homes. Through the Congregate Nutrition Program, seniors received a healthy warm meal through their local Senior Centers. Head Start Programs teach the importance of a child’s healthy development so they can grow and thrive! The AmeriCorps Foster Grandparent Program offers a way for individuals 55 and older to stay active by serving children and youth in communities while providing a unique service built on the natural bond between generations. Their AmeriCorps East Bay Retired and Senior Volunteer Program places individuals 55 and older volunteering in many programs and nonprofits in the East Bay area. Their Volunteer Income Tax Program (VITA) provides fee tax preparation for income eligible individuals. Education and Career Pathways helps with educational goals, job readiness skills and improved career options. Their food pantries offer twice monthly food distribution. Senior Services provides options and resources to help income eligible seniors remain in the community. EBCAP has Primary, Behavioral and Dental Health Centers throughout the East Bay. They are unique from other providers because their programs and services go beyond the four walls of our Centers, reaching throughout their communities and neighborhoods. It is important to them that community members have access to the help they need. That is why they offer 24/7 support through their call center, and have staff who can travel to meet clients where it is most comfortable for them. Their goal is to help make access to a healthier life easier for everyone! They care for all residents of the East Bay, regardless of their gender, age, race, or income status.

Providence Water, although a department of the City of Providence, is regulated by state and federal agencies in addition to city policies and procedures. The quality of our treated drinking water is regulated by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the Rhode Island Department of Health. Our revenue and rate structure is regulated by the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission. A seven member Providence Water Supply Board of Directors determines corporate policy. It is the mission of this Board to ensure that water customers receive a safe and reliable water supply for drinking and fire protection. This group is comprised of dedicated private citizens and public officials and is committed to fair and equitable service to all customers and property owners in our service area. Four board members are appointed by the mayor, two are appointed by the city council president and one (ex-officio) is the City's Finance Director.

The Center strives to meet the needs and desires of the greatest number of seniors in creating organized activities and workshop areas. The program includes- Recreation, Socialization, Transportation, Fitness Activities, Field Trips, Referrals to community resources, meals. Operates a meal site for senior citizens and provides Meals on Wheels. to a large numbers of individuals within the community.

Medicare is managed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Social Security works with CMS by enrolling people in Medicare. Medicare is the country’s health insurance program for people age 65 or older. Certain people younger than age 65 can qualify for Medicare, too, including those with disabilities and those who have permanent kidney failure.

Lincoln Village located in Lincoln Rhode Island is a LIHTC development offering one, two, three, and four bedroom apartments. Designed for singles and families, income guidelines are established through the Tax Credit program.

Programs that provide a graded system of learning in a formal school setting from grades nine or 10 through 12 for adolescents who usually range in age from 13 or 14 to 18. High schools provide formal instruction for students who want to prepare themselves for further education at the college/university level as well as those who prefer to seek employment immediately after high school graduation. The curriculum for students who are planning to terminate their formal education focuses on vocational preparation whereas that for college/university-bound students focuses on providing the required number of hours of instruction in targeted subjects to enable them to meet college/university entrance requirements.

A 70 bed comprehensive inpatient/outpatient medical rehabilitation program, transitional care unit, neuro behavioral unit for stroke and brain injury patients, transitional living apartments, staff of specialized medical rehabilitation therapists and nursing professionals. Outpatient services available from both units. Stroke Specialty The Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Program, a CARF recognized program, provides adults needing therapy to improve their function and quality of life. Our patients have been diagnosed with cerebral vascular accidents (CVA), intracranial hemorrhages, and thrombo/embolic strokes. Neurorehabilitation This program treats patients with diagnoses such as brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, and multiple sclerosis. Our dedicated staff work with patients to regain the skills to walk, communicate and live more independently. Our therapists also treat patients with cognitive and/or behavioral disabilities. Orthopedic Our rehabilitation program treats patients after hip fractures, joint replacement, and multiple trauma. We strive to always improve our therapy, and our orthopedic program’s innovations have been published in major rehabilitation journals. South County Health’s accredited medical laboratory provides diagnostic laboratory testing, and phlebotomy services for outpatients. Under certain circumstances, home draw services for homebound patients may also be available. South County Health operates six outpatient laboratory testing sites throughout southern Rhode Island. No appointment is necessary.
