In addition to 24 hour/seven days a week nursing care, Saint Antoine Residence offers the following special services: Special Care Unit The Special Care Unit is a 60-bed unit for residents with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. The Unit provides a safe, structured environment that meets physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs throughout the disease progression. An emphasis is placed on residents succeeding, dignity, and support of family members. Short Term Rehabilitative Care Short Term Rehabilitative Care is designed for individuals in need of rehabilitation following hip or knee replacement, heart attack, stroke, or other acute medical event. Our goal is to rehabilitate individuals to restore their previous level of functioning with the goal of returning back to their home. Skilled nursing services; on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapies are available. Short term stays range from one week to several weeks, depending upon the individual’s medical condition. Hospice Suite The Hospice Suite provides care for terminally ill individuals who qualify for general inpatient level of care. The Suite affords residents a lovely homelike environment with ample room for visiting family members.

Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond. Barrington Child Outreach is based in the Barrington Public Schools office, and visits all preschools in the district, as well as holds monthly screenings at the Barrington town hall.

McAuley House is the meal site and house of hospitality of McAuley Ministries. They open their doors at 8am Monday through Friday and welcome guests to join them for a day of food, fellowship, program activities, and much needed social services in a safe and comforting atmosphere. Each day, they provide a self-serve breakfast; a nutritious and nourishing lunch with special ingredients from the Healing Foods Project menu; and a full take-away evening meal following our afternoon enrichment program. All guests are served with hospitality, compassion, and dignity in an atmosphere of love and respect. Breakfast is served from 8am to 9:30am; lunch from 11:15am to 1pm; and afternoon program activities are offered from 1:30—3:30pm. McAuley House serves up to 300 people each day.

CharterCARE visiting nurse service is unique in that the clinical staff practices primary nursing. They will systematically assess, plan, deliver, and continually evaluate an individualized plan of care for each patient. Skilled Care: Clinical staff provides skilled training in the use, care and management of various medical devices including; G-tubes, J-tubes and foley catheters. We provide training in and assistance with injection therapy, oxygen therapy, ostomy care, tracheostomy care, the administration of insulin for diabetics, medication management, disease management and wound care. Advance Wound Care Every one of our nurses has been trained and is proficient in performing negative pressure wound therapy, a state of the art technology proven to significantly reduce healing time for chronic wounds. (ie: Wound Vac, Renosys and Engenex). Telemonitoring Our telemonitoring program is an adjunct to nursing visits and physician care. Upon the physician order, equipment is installed in the home for the patient. The equipment allows the patient to take daily measurements of weight, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation. Results are monitored daily by an RN. Nutritional Services CharterCARE Home Health utilizes registered dieticians (RDs), food and nutrition experts who have met American Dietetic Association (ADA) criteria to earn the RD credential. RDs are available to assess a patient's nutritional needs, develop and implement nutrition programs, and evaluate and report the results.

West Bay currently operates two Alternative Learning Programs for student in grades K-12. Both programs are located in district settings (Cranston K-6 and Warwick 6-12), but accept students from districts across the state if seats are available. Both settings provide individualized and small group instruction in a therapeutic environment. The aim is to help students return to their sending schools once they have learned new ways of managing themselves and their behaviors; however, for some students, remaining in West Bay’s classes is the best option, and they are able to complete their school year with us.
