Moving Expense Assistance | Long Term Services and Supports

Programs that provide cash grants for people who cannot make a necessary move without assistance. Also included are programs that help people with expenses related to moving a house from one piece of property to another. Moving expense assistance programs may have age, income, disability, need or other eligibility requirements.

Moving Expense Assistance

A Program for Property Owners with units that are immediately
available and are safe and habitable.  These units across the state are to provide safe harbor to vulnerable Rhode Islanders without a home. The program will pay market rent reliably on the first of every month.

Relocation Assistance | Housing NOW Program

Programs that provide assistance for people who have been displaced from their current homes or rental housing by urban renewal, redevelopment, conversion or demolition of condemned housing. Also included are programs that provide relocation assistance for people whose homes have been damaged or destroyed by a fire, flood, earthquake, hurricane, tornado or other disaster; or for individuals in other situations covered by the program.
