Rent Payment Assistance | Woonsocket Women's Shelter, Community Care Alliance
Services: Houses 29 families and 8 women daily. Shelter stays are limited to 90 days but can be renewed based on progress demonstrated by participants or impending permanent housing. Case managers assist participants with healthcare, employment and establishing permanent housing. Help also available for: mental health issues, addiction, developmental delays in children, parenting and domestic violence. Case managers access services directly through Family Resources Community Action Program or collaborative agreements with other local non profit organizations.

Tri-County Community Action Agency offers the following programs: Early Childhood Education; Employment & Training; Family Care Community Partnership; Food Assistance; Fuel Assistance & Weatherization; Health Center; Health Equity Zone; Housing and Tax Assistance; Regional Prevention Coalition; Senior and Disabled Adults services; Victim of Crime Advocacy; and WIC.
For seniors, services include: At Home Supports Case Management; Integrated Case Management; Self-Directed Program; Protective Services; and National Family Caregiver Support Program.
Behavioral health treatment is offered for a wide variety of concerns including substance abuse treatment, anxiety and depression, relationship and family counseling, and stress and anger management.
Dental and Oral Health services include: oral examinations, digital x-rays, dental cleanings, topical fluoride, nutritional counseling, sealants, oral hygiene instruction, restorative services (fillings), simple extractions, anterior root canal, denture repair and crown re-cementation
Head Start educators work with families and children to implement developmental and socialization strategies that work best for you and your child. Their classrooms are bright and inviting and are designed to maximize creativity and learning. Healthy lunches and snacks are provided to children daily. In addition to providing educational and nutritional resources, children will have access to health and dental screenings at no cost, and families will be provided with health referrals and referrals for emergency services whenever needed.
Early Head Start is a federal program for eligible families, that are expecting a child, or with a child ages birth to three years old. The program provides services that promote cognitive, language and social-emotional development of the child. Children enrolled in the program will receive medical and dental screenings at no cost, and families are provided with assistance locating health care, and emergency services whenever needed.
Eligibility Guidelines: The programs service families with income at or below the federal poverty guidelines, children in living in foster care, and families experiencing homelessness.Ten percent of enrollment slots must be filled with children with a diagnosed disability.

Transitional Support: a small monthly stipend to help with expenses during a temporary downturn in income (usually not exceeding 6 months )
Crisis Transportation: Airfare to the UK for emergencies or permanent resettlement, or to cover car repairs if needed for work
