Dress For Success provides women with professional attire to secure employment and the confidence and knowledge that is needed to be successful.

Diapers can be delivered to home at no charge through a program that employs disabled adults. Can receive up to 300 diapers a month for free.

*** Strictly for quarantine mothers and families in need of diapers and wipes. This is offered by the RIDOH for the QIRC. Delivery available to families who absolutely need it.

Services: Houses 29 families and 8 women daily. Shelter stays are limited to 90 days but can be renewed based on progress demonstrated by participants or impending permanent housing. Case managers assist participants with healthcare, employment and establishing permanent housing. Help also available for: mental health issues, addiction, developmental delays in children, parenting and domestic violence. Case managers access services directly through Family Resources Community Action Program or collaborative agreements with other local non profit organizations.

MAE's program was also established to empower the homeless to overcome the impact of trauma and promote personal growth. They will dress them for success when searching for employment.

Project Undercover – Over 45,000 kids in Rhode Island don’t have access to clean, new underwear, socks, or diapers. Project Undercover provides these necessities to families living in poverty by engaging with the community, increasing public awareness, and partnering with other agencies for the betterment of all children.

Family Support Center provides basic needs assistance to low income households and connects families to financial literacy and other programs to strengthen their financial condition. The Family Support Center serves low and moderate income Woonsocket residents depending on eligibility requirements for fund-specific programs.

McAuley House also offers a host of support services such as rental assistance, toiletries, clothing, prescription assistance, transportation means, obtaining personal documentation, and referrals to housing and other medical or vocational resources. Guests also are invited to participate in a number of enrichment programs, which provide support, healing and engagement.

Vouchers for clothing, furniture, household items are available to our thrift store. Vouchers also available to baby closet, toiletry closet and pet food closet.

The BND Coat Exchange began over 20 years ago, annually occurring on Black Friday, Buy Nothing Day invites you to give rather than spend, and to repurpose rather than toss. Each Friday after Thanksgiving, those in need of warmth meet at donation sites around the state to receive gently-used winter gear.

Dress for Success

A wide range of human and educational services across Rhode Island including outpatient/office-based program provides mental health counseling as well as medical services from psychiatrists. Substance abuse counselors provide treatment of adults and adolescents with substance abuse issues; treatment for family members affected by their loved one's addiction is also available. Individual treatment and group therapy are available. Income Source: RIte Care, Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, grants, government contracts, United Way, private donations.

The Living Supplies Closet provides items not available with food stamps such as paper products, diapers, personal hygiene items with referral from social service agency only. Clients can come once every six weeks (42 days).

Provides work clothing at no cost to low-income men and women who are completing job training and education programs, and seeking employment.
