The Breast Health Center has a perfected model program for total breast care, developed all of the necessary educational and support systems and assembled a multidisciplinary team of women's health specialists. The Breast Health Center offers services including Mammography, Breast MRI, Breast Core Biopsy, Sentinal Node Biopsy, Treating Breast Cancer, Breast Self-Examination Education, LOCalizer, Genetics and Prevention Program, Support Groups, and a Rehabilitation and Survivorship Program.

Disability Determination Services (DDS) is a unit within the Office of Rehabilitation Services. DDS is the state agency which determines the medical eligibility of Rhode Island residents (children and adults) who have applied for cash benefits under the disability programs administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA). The two SSA disability programs are Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) (Title II) and Supplementary Security Income (SSI) (Title XVI). The DDS is responsible for collecting medical evidence of record and determining whether the claimant is disabled and/or blind as defined by the Social Security Act. Medical, psychological, and audiological examinations and tests are used to better understand the disability and needs for specific types of services.

Currently the only needle exchange program in the state. Functions as a Harm Reduction program including needle exchange, drug treatment referral, free condoms, free clothing and free HIV testing on-site. **Van also brings needle exchange to other areas of Rhode Island** Woonsocket: Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:30 PM (Arnold St., next to the Soup Kitchen.) Newport: Fridays from 2:30 - 4:30 PM. (Near MLK Center and Wheatland Blvd.) E.N.C.O.R.E. E - Education on HIV prevention. N - Needle exchange to reduce the risk of transmitting HIV and other comminicable diseases. C - Counseling on reducing risk, HIV testing, following through on medical care, and substance abuse treatment. O - Outreach into the community to identify potential clients for the E.N.C.O.RE program. RE - Referral to agencies and programs by request from the client.

The rapid hepatitis C tests provide results in approximately 20 minutes. All tests are done with a simple finger prick that collects a drop of blood. (An oral swab test may be available. If you elect to use an oral swab test, it is recommended you do not eat, brush your teeth, or floss for 30 minutes prior to the test.)
