Bradley Hospital is a resource for families in need of professional mental health care or who are looking for guidance regarding common emotional and social issues children and adolescents face. Bradley Hospital's website contains a library of articles, fact sheets, and videos that cover the spectrum of conditions and behaviors, ranging from improving communication with a child to managing anger. The Parenting Matters Minute video series, along with many of the educational resources provided, is authored by staff of Bradley Hospital, a national leader in the treatment and research of child and adolescent mental health. Services for parents include: Compassionate one-on-one consultations from clinical staff; Emergency and urgent evaluations at Access Center; Dedicated family advocacy from a family liaison, who helps families understand and navigate the health care system; Useful and important suggestions about education programs for your child; Advice regarding accessing community resources; Coordination of family support groups; The Family Advisory Council, which strives to improve understanding and communication between the hospital staff and the family members they serve. A Brown University affiliated psychiatric center providing care for infants, children, adolescents, young adults and their families. Services include a full range of mental health and special educational programs for children with emotional and/or developmental disabilities. Services include stabilization, short-term treatment in a secure environment, 24 hour care in a less restrictive environment, partial hospitalization for children who can return home at night and in-home care. **Outpatient Services Director: Karyn Horowitz, MD Services: A full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment programs. Specialty areas include individual, family and group therapy, Attention Deficit Disorder, child neuropsychological assessment, school and learning problems, anxiety disorders, trauma adjustment, behavioral problems, depression and communication disorders. Emphasis is placed on supporting families in learning strategies to manage challenging behaviors and support their young child's development. **The Bradley School Director: Dale Radka, MD Services: A fully accredited special education program for children/adolescents who are having difficulty learning. Bradley School integrates individual and family therapy and other mental health services with its educational services to treat the behavioral and emotional issues affecting the child's learning. Services include comprehensive and short-term diagnostic evaluations, accredited special education school, summer camp and on-site school counseling.
