After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Individualized treatment and recovery plans might include medication management supervised by the psychiatric practitioner and ongoing co-occurring counseling with clinical staff. CODAC’s newest site at Eleanor Slater Hospital offers a program for patients with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) that has the ability to utilize alternative therapies in managing chronic pain. Behavioral Medicine Clinical Services assists adult outpatients with the management of chronic medical conditions. Treatment is tailored to individual needs. Psychologists are specially trained to help modify behavioral or lifestyle factors which may perpetuate or exacerbate the symptoms of particular medical conditions. Christian faith-based, long term residential recovery homes for more than 400 adults & adolescents and outreach and drug prevention programs to children and youth in schools and local communities. A 15 month residential program for women with life controlling problems such as drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution, eating disorders, etc.

Intensive Outpatient Program The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at CODAC is an ideal opportunity for those individuals who find they have a need for increased access to support and treatment. IOP is approximately 8 weeks, and consists of individual and group sessions totaling a minimum 9 hours per week. IOPs may be utilized at any point along the treatment or recovery cycle and based on level of therapeutic need. If you are interested in this level of care speak with your CODAC provider. General Outpatient Services General Outpatient Programs are for individuals interested in treatment for Substance Use Disorder symptoms. General Outpatient programs utilize scheduled individual and group counseling sessions and drug/alcohol testing to assist patients in identifying and maintaining healthy life choices. CODAC counselors also work with the patient to integrate recovery support services in their treatment. We will to continue working with patients who have met their initial goals and want to maintain and strengthen their recovery. CODAC counselors work closely with their patients to achieve individual goals and/or meet the requirements of the referring authority. Most importantly, our programs are designed to assist individuals to develop and integrate a recovery oriented lifestyle that includes family, friends, health, wellness, joy and productivity. All CODAC programs emphasize the value recovery oriented lifestyle benefits and encouraged strongly encourage the integration of family members into the treatment and recovery process.

Substance Abuse Counseling, counselors work to develop a treatment plan tailored to each individual's needs. We offer individual, group, and family counseling. Thrive’s Community Support Program (CSP) is a coordinated system of care designed for adults aged 18 and older who are struggling with a severe and persistent mental illness and require a higher level of care. CSP participants have received a qualifying diagnosis of a psychotic disorder, mood disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and have had difficulties engaging with treatment.This program enables individuals to maintain psychiatric stability, increase their quality life in the community, and ultimately achieve their own personal recovery. Qualifying clients will have access to psychiatric services, counseling, case management services, education, peer support, residential services, and transportation to and from medical appointments. Thrive's Community Support Program is comprised of three integrated support teams including the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team and Integrated Health Home (IHH) Teams. An Outpatient level of care is available to those who have similar needs but require less intensive care.

Blackstone Valley Community Health Care offers behavioral health treatment to support the emotional wellbeing of each patient. The Behavioral Health team works closely with primary care providers to screen and assess the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of each patient. Counseling treatment is provided by highly trained Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Services include: Individual Therapy, 1:1 support for patients to help address mental health challenges to change or improve quality of life; Group Therapy allows patients to receive support from our behavioral health clinicians and other members of the group, helping them to feel less alone or isolated; Referral Services for those in need of more intensive, wrap-around services than BVCHC can provide, connecting to local community resources; Peer Recovery Coaching, offered by a certified recovery specialist to provide insight into the recovery process and help patients become and stay engaged in the recovery process to reduce the likelihood of relapse; Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) an evidence-based practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs.

Six month program and transitional housing for men, 18 and older in early recovery from substance abuse. Must be able to work. Provides referral services and crisis intervention. Our treatment program is based on the 12-step principles of recovery. We utilize evidence based therapy as well as other proven clinical methods. Residents are required to attend community based self-help groups, participate in individual and group counseling, join in weekly activity therapy and perform household chores.
