RI Responds is a complementary volunteer network working through the Statewide Emergency Registry of Volunteers (SERV - RI), the RI Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and RI Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) to offer a range of health professional volunteer opportunities for Rhode Islanders. This collaboration greatly enhances the effectiveness of deployment and response coordinated through the state's incident command system. There are three different programs within RI Responds. Girl Scouting helps cultivate values, social conscience and self-esteem in girls, while also teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. In Girl Scouting, and its special girl only environment, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together. The program is delivered through troops comprised of five age levels: Daisy, 5 - 6 years old; Brownie, 6 - 8 years; Junior, 8 - 11 years old; Cadette, 11 - 14 years old and Senior, 14 - 17 years old. Individual memberships are available for girls who cannot attend regular troop meetings. A summer camp program is conducted at six camps throughout the council's area. Bilingual Hispanic staff.

Services: Promotes community gardens, green space, and environmental education to encourage environmental and community awareness and improve the quality of urban life. At the foundation of the Land Trust's program is a philosophy that environmental issues are issues of equity and justice and it is committed to working with residents of all ages to effect necessary social changes and improve people's lives.
