The Volunteers in Schools program is an integral part of the Portsmouth School Department. Volunteers are recruited and trained to make major, system-wide contributions in the areas of tutoring, health screening, kindergarten registration, classroom assistance, enrichment, student publishing and print media reproduction.

(Volunteers of Warwick Schools) is a non-profit corporation that was organized by a group of Warwick citizens. VOWS was designed to be the centrally directed, district-wide school volunteer management system that supports the educational goals of the Warwick Public Schools. The program was created with the cooperation and encouragement of the Superintendent of Schools and has the endorsement of the School Committee.

LINKS recruits, trains, places, and supports parent, community and business volunteers to enhance the educational experience of students in North Kingstown Public Schools. LINKS maintains a database of all volunteers serving in the North Kingstown school district including background check information.
