The Public Works Department is comprised of: Administration, Highway Division, Fleet Maintenance and Facilities Maintenance. Primary responsibilities consist of: Maintaining approximately 103 miles of Town roads, Performing road reconstruction & repair, Removing snow & ice, Street Sweeping, Roadside mowing, Maintaining Storm Water Management System, Maintaining traffic markings, Maintaining street signs, stop signs & regulatory signs, Maintaining a fleet of over 150 vehicles, equipment & boats, Street tree maintenance, Maintenance of Town Hall, and Comfort Station & The Towers

The East Bay Food Pantry's mission is to “engage, educate, and empower the East Bay in creating a hunger-free community”. Food is available to anyone in need in the East Bay. Their “client choice” food programs are all grounded in our Access Nutrition Initiative, providing healthy food choices and nutrition education to address inequalities of access to healthy foods. They strive to provide a consistent inventory of whole grain foods, fruits and vegetables, and high-quality protein and dairy items. The food pantry allows clients to access to a standard pantry once a month and gives access to a once per week "Fresh Food Friday", where fresh food like produce and bread are available.

Pawtucket Fire Department operates out of five fire stations with an engine out of each; truck apparatus and rescue ambulance units in stations 2 and 4. The Duty battalion chief responds from station 2, adjacent to City Hall.
** Pawtucket's Fire Station 3 on Columbus Avenue will be closed beginning on April 1, 2019 for approximately 4-8 weeks.
