The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org, and publicizes the hotline's free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual assault, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. RAINN is supported by volunteers, donors, corporations and grants.

SAMHSA’s Disaster Distress Helpline provides 24/7, 365-day-a-year crisis counseling and support to people experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters. This crisis support service is for anyone experiencing emotional distress related to disasters such as: Tornadoes and Severe Storms, Hurricanes and Tropical Storms, Floods, Wildfires, Earthquakes, Drought, Incidents of Mass Violence. The Disaster Distress Helpline also answers calls and texts related to infectious disease outbreaks, such as the Ebola outbreak, incidents of community unrest, and other traumatic events. This service is hotline /online only.

Thrive Behavioral Health's mission is to improve the quality of life for men, women, children and families facing behavioral health challenges. They do this through a wide range of mental health, substance abuse and trauma-informed programs, and with the commitment of experienced and dedicated professionals. Staff collaborates fully to ensure a holistic approach to care that treats the person, not the illness. Provides residential services to adults with psychiatric disabilities, 18 - 75. Assertive case management services provided by the mobile treatment team to the supported living facilities, scattered site apartments in the East Bay area, and adults wit psychiatric disabilities and dually disordered adults living independently in the community in various living accommodations. Behavioral Health Link is a comprehensive program to service individuals who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis (mental health and/or substance abuse use) by establishing a community based, 24/7 hotline and triage center. BH has 5 treatment bays and can assist 8-10 individuals at one time. Easy Bay- (East Providence) Provides: behavioral health services ranging from emergency services, general and intensive community-based outpatient treatment, substance use treatment, and other services.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the United States. The Lifeline is comprised of a national network of over 200 local crisis centers, combining custom local care and resources with national standards and best practices. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is funded by the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and administered by Vibrant Emotional Health. Counselors at locally-operated crisis centers across the country answer all of the Lifeline's calls and chats. Information and support is also provided to concerned friends and family members, teachers, counselors, service providers and members of law enforcement. Loveisrespect strives to be a safe, inclusive space for young people to access information and get help in an environment that is designed specifically for them. Comprehensive education on healthy, unhealthy and abusive dating relationships and behaviors. Loveisrespect also mobilizes parents, educators, peers and survivors to proactively raise awareness on healthy dating behaviors and how to identify unhealthy and abusive patterns. Provides trainings, toolkits, and curriculum, growing the community educators and advocates promoting healthy relationships and preventing future patterns of abuse.

Hotline advocates are available for victims and anyone calling on their behalf to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals to agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The SAMHSA Drug-Free Workplace Helpline provides confidential, practical, impartial, and up-to-date information, advice, and support free of charge to employees and their families. Topics cover a wide range of issues related to federal and non-federal Drug-Free Workplace Programs and drug testing. This service is designed to equip employees and their families with essential knowledge to resolve issues at work and/or in their personal lives. The helpline is staffed Monday through Friday by professional advisers, including workplace specialists and certified Employee Assistance Program (EAPs) providers.

Strives to increase public awareness of pathological gambling, ensure the widespread availability of treatment for problem gamblers and their families, and to encourage research and programs for prevention and education. Website offers information and referral resources, online counselor search, frequently asked questions, self assessment tools, state by state help, directories of counselors and treatment centers, as well as literature, prevention and education tools, and first person stories of problem gambling and recovery.

Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's Lymphoma and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Services: Free Family Support Groups led by trained facilitators on an as needed basis for patients, caregivers and loved ones. Guest speakers on special topics relating to cancer and wellness. Patient Aid: Provides financial assistance for medication relating to cancer treatment and transportation costs to and from treatment. First Connection: Matches recently diagnosed patients with trained volunteers who have experienced a similar situation. Volunteer survivors, or their family members, offer support and information to individuals learning to cope with any blood related cancers. 24 hour helpline provided for individuals in crisis. Telephone calls range from seeking to escape a domestic violence situation to support and advocacy. Victims of Crime Helpline BVAC, in collaboration with Day One and the RI Coalition Against Domestic Violence, answers the Victims of Crime Helpline. The Helpline provides telephone support as well as accompaniment to hospitals and police departments.

Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center offers short-term, safe, confidential shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their children. Residents are provided with all basic needs and are encouraged to participate in a program that includes education about domestic violence, parenting and financial literacy. Provides specialized children’s services, advocacy and referrals. 16 bed capacity, NOT handicap accessible. Services Available: Case management; Crisis intervention (on-site); Domestic violence support and education; Housing search and education; Budgeting and financial literacy; 3 meals per day. Important Policies: Rent is NOT required; Medications are locked and stored in a secure location and available to guest as prescribed; Smoking allowed in designated outdoor areas; Drug/alcohol free environment; Children must be supervised at all times; Agency follows least-harm model

Military & Veteran Family Helpline: This is a free service that offers information, creates connections and gives hope to struggling military and veteran families.

Provides individual and group counseling for victims of sexual assault and their families. Offers 24-hour hotline, information, advocacy, support, legal assistance and crisis counseling. trained counselors/advocates available to meet victims at hospital, police station and court. Assault Prevention Program offers personal safety programs to students in preschool through college. Day One serves victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other violent crimes. Services include the 24-hour Victims of Crime Helpline; crisis intervention, individual and group counseling for children and adults, advocacy (including legal advocacy) for victims and their families. Also, the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), the RI Children's Advocacy Center, prevention education and a new Family Foster Care Treatment Program for sexually abused children in foster care and their foster families.

Domestic Violence is one of the leading causes of homelessness for women. As an affiliate member of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, we provide integrated services to address the unique needs of domestic violence survivors, as we work with them to break the cycle of violence and find secure, stable housing. Through the Domestic Violence Program we offer comprehensive trauma-informed services for domestic violence survivors, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing, advocacy, support groups, and children's enrichment programs. The Domestic Violence Program is primarily an emergency shelter program with a focus on safety and housing. The shelter provides safety for 26 domestic violence survivors and their children in a confidential location separate from other Crossroads properties. Clients have access to Crossroads Rhode Island’s range of services, including basic needs assistance, education, employment services and intensive case management, while they work to find a secure and stable home.

Support for people with serious mental illnesses, and their family members; advocacy for individuals with mental illness and their families; education about mental illness for professionals, families and the general public.

Connect with the Veterans Crisis Line to reach caring, qualified responders with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Many of them are Veterans themselves.
