Gambling Disorder Prevention Programs | Providence Center - Adult Outpatient Services
A private, nonsectarian, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization that supports individuals in their recovery from mental illness and co-occurring disorders (i.e., substance use, developmental disability, related chronic health conditions). Provides access to support and resources for individuals to lead self-determined, independent, and fulfilling lives as contributing members of the community. Assists people of all ages to improve their behavioral health, well-being, and quality of life. Licensed professionals conduct individual assessments and develop person-centered treatment plans. Individuals are seen by a psychiatrist or a psychiatric nurse practitioner for medication management, and individual and group therapy are available.
The Providence Center- (North Main) Provides: behavioral health services ranging from emergency services, general and intensive community-based outpatient treatment, substance use treatment, and other services. They may offer vocational and supported employment services, navigators who can help you get health insurance, tax preparation assistance, and housing supports. If receiving services as a child, assistance with transition to adult services or programs are provided within or outside the agency.
The Community Mental Health Centers are regionally based as indicated below. However, as a Rhode Island resident, you may access services at any CMHC.
Anyone experiencing a crisis can walk into a Community Mental Health Center during their normal business hours and they will provide treatment. For after-hours emergency treatment, call the Center’s emergency number or call 911.
Flex buses are available by appointment. Call RIPTA 24hours before to reserve at 1-877-906-3539. LogistiCare (LGTC) manages non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for medicaid members. You can receive a ride to a medicaid-enrolled medical practitioner/provider. Call the Medicaid Member Reservation line at 1-855-330-9131 or go to https://member.logisticare.com to request a ride.

Gambling Disorder Prevention Programs | CODAC East Bay
CODAC East Bay programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD), intensified treatment programs (IOP), general outpatient treatment (GO) for alcohol and other substance use, behavioral healthcare services, tobacco cessation programs, and services for gambling addiction.
CODAC East Bay, along with all other CODAC locations, has been awarded the designation of Center of Excellence (COE) for the treatment of opioid use disorder. As a designated COE, they have met or exceeded the highest standards of care (as determined by RI state agencies), are able to provide expedited access to treatment, and offer at least two of the three FDA approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (methadone, buprenorphine (SuboxoneTM, SubutexTM) and oral and depot naltrexone (VivitrolTM). CODAC sites are currently the only providers in RI authorized to dispense all three of these medications. As a COE, CODAC guarantees that treatment will begin within 48 hours of your first phone call.

With seven community-based locations, as well as programming at the Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RI DOC), CODAC is well-positioned to deliver services wherever they are needed across the state.
CODAC offers psychiatric and mental health services at all of their locations. After an initial intake screening you may be referred to an on-site psychiatric practitioner for further evaluation and treatment. Gambling Disorder Prevention Programs | CODAC Cranston
Problem Gambling Services of Rhode Island (PGSRI) offers programs and supports to individuals with gambling disorders. Funded by the Rhode Island Lottery and coordinated by CODAC, PGSRI provide individual assessment and referral to multiple providers throughout the state, including CODAC’s sites. For clients who are un- or underinsured, funding for 100% of treatment is provided through the RI Lottery.
It is CODAC’s standard practice to screen all patients for disordered gambling. When we identify a patient as being a current or potential disordered gambler we offer them an assessment and referral to one of CODAC’s on-site specialists for individual counseling treatment. All CODAC clinicians have attended at least two trainings on the disorder. They also receive ongoing supervision and consultation from a Certified Gambling Addiction Specialist prior to delivering services.
