Programs that provide a graded system of learning in a formal school setting from kindergarten or grade one through grades six, seven, eight or nine (depending on the district configuration) for children ranging in age from five or six to about 13 or 14.

Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond.

Support group for people who feel powerless over food. Members help each other to lose weight and keep it off, share experiences and support each other's abstinence from overeating. Public nonprofit agency created under Rhode Island Law that provides the largest stock of low-income housing in the Town of West Warwick through its federally funded housing programs. Works in partnership with state and local agencies, private nonprofit agencies, and community based organizations to maximize housing opportunities for all eligible participants in a nondiscriminatory manner.

• Owns and manages 250 Elderly Housing Units in two high rise buildings as follows:

-The West Warwick Manor: 126 apartments. (12 two bedroom units, 75 one bedroom units, and 39 studio apartments.) -Clyde Tower, 1021 Main St. 124 apartments. (31 couple units and 93 single units.)

• Administers Section 8 Housing Voucher Program through which it provides rental subsidy to eligible very low and very poor families in the town's private rental market

The RI Department of Labor and Training provides workforce development, workforce security and workforce protection to the state's workers, employers and citizens, offering employment services, educational services and economic opportunity to both individuals and employers. DLT protects the workforce by enforcing labor laws, prevailing wage rates and workplace health and safety standards. The department also provides temporary income support to unemployed and temporarily disabled workers.

Services: Self-help organization for parents who lost a baby through miscarriage, selective termination, stillbirth, neonatal death, sudden infant death, or accidental death, and who are now in or considering a subsequent pregnancy.

Pidge Manor is affordable housing for individuals and families that meet established income limits. One, two, and three bedroom apartments available. Residents pay own utilities.

Accessing Home Program

Services: The department is comprised of six divisions designed to inform, entertain and enrich the lives of those who participate : ** Adult Day Services--Professionally designed programs to meet the needs of frail individuals with physical and/or cognitive impairments. Professional staff consists of registered nurses, a case manager, physical therapy assistant and certified nursing assistants. Therapeutic programs include music, art, physical, occupational, speech, aroma, pet therapy. Recreational activities include crafts, painting, exercise, gardening, Tai Chi and Yoga for elders. Intergenerational programs with local schools provide enrichment opportunities for both young and old alike. Support and Referral Services for each participant and their families, coordination with physicians and other service providers. Cost is based on a sliding fee scale. Licensed by the RI Department of Elderly Affairs. **Nutrition--Provides hot, nutritious, homemade lunches served at 11:45am, Monday through Friday. Snack bar with freshly baked goods, soups and much more. Night Life--Dinners, Thursday at 5pm in the Spring and Fall. **Programs--Offers activities that enable seniors to expand their horizons, enrich their lives and pursue a variety of interests. Our programs promote wellness, health maintenance, personal dignity and self worth. Individual needs, interests, skills and abilities are addressed through a variety of stimulating educational, social and health activities to improve the quality of life. **Retired Senior Volunteer Program--Allows anyone 55+ years of age the opportunity to help make the community a better place to live by sharing themselves with others. Participants gain personal satisfaction by serving at a public or non-profit agency. They also have fun by participating in interesting and rewarding experiences. Seniors serve from one to 40 hours a week; RSVP provides guidance and support, transportation, meals and insurance for all volunteers. Social Services--A caring staff of professional case managers and a Community Elder Information Specialist is available to provide support and counseling to seniors and their families, provide access to a network of service providers throughout the city and state, assist with the many available services, offer comfort and compassion, visit homebound seniors to assess and case manage, coordinate Support Groups such as Widow/Widower; Arthritis; Reminiscence. Our staff is available to speak to your community organization on a wide variety of issues. ** Transvan, (401) 943-3341--You don't have to be dependent on your family. Transvan, our daily transportation system for 60+ and/or disabled Cranston residents is available to provide transportation anywhere in Cranston, Monday through Friday. Provides shuttles to nearby malls and local markets. Provides transportation to doctors, nursing homes and hospitals in Providence, North Providence, Johnston and Warwick by appointment.

Offers books, periodicals, pamphlets, audio cassettes, compact discs, video cassettes, large type books for loan. Programming for adults and children.

The Robert J Allen Medical Center accepts new and gently used medical equipment for donation. Tax-deductible charitable receipts are available on most pieces of larger equipment. Examples of items: Walkers - Canes - Wheelchairs - Commodes - Shower Chairs - Electric Hospital Beds - Lift Chairs - Transport Chairs - Ramps.

Assists low-income residents through individual advocacy, research and community organization approaches to meeting basic human needs. Provides emergency fuel and energy assistance during winter months (November - April). Rental and prescription assistance when funds are available. **Qualifications:** Rent: Must have a five-day eviction notice or be attempting to move out of a shelter. Utility: (gas & electric) Must have a termination notice or be attempting to restore services. Heating: Must have made use of /be ineligible for all state, federal, and other private heating assistance funds. Funds are made available through the Bishop�s "Keep the Heat On" Fund. The Cumberland Preschool provides an integrated setting for children with special needs as well as those typically developing. The children are working to overcome developmental delay, physical impairment, speech delays and autism. Presidential Place, is a subsidized apartment community designed for those who are 62 years of age and older.

Offers support and education to Alzheimer families through the Helpline; support groups, resource center and conferences. Educates health professionals who care for persons with the disease. Advocates for changes in the health care delivery system to better serve consumers. Publishes a quarterly newsletter and other materials on the disease. Residential facility for adult males, 18+, recovering from substance abuse addiction. Intensive day program as well as intensive non-residential evening program for adult/adolescent males/females. Outpatient substance abuse counseling and group therapy. Also provides counseling for domestic violence, gambling, and anger management services for men, women and children over six.

Tiverton Emergency Management is run through the Tiverton Police Department. The Tiverton EMA implements policies related to hazard mitigation and emergency management programs and activities. The EMA also has general supervision of all civil preparedness duties.

Holiday Toy Drive for People living in Mount Hope. Agencies and Churches provide toys that go to families in need through the Mount Hope Neighborhood Association.
