Family Support Center provides basic needs assistance to low income households and connects families to financial literacy and other programs to strengthen their financial condition. The Family Support Center serves low and moderate income Woonsocket residents depending on eligibility requirements for fund-specific programs.

Early Intervention works in partnership with families to promote the growth and development of infants and toddlers. Our services help children from birth to three years of age who have or may have a disability, are experiencing developmental delay, or are at risk for significant developmental problems. Early Intervention consists of a multidisciplinary team, which works in partnership with families. The team works diligently to provide services that are respectful of a family’s values, incorporating strategies into a child’s natural environments – meaning everyday life routines and places. All services are family-centered and individualized to ensure the most successful outcomes for a child and their family.

Scalabrini Villa has designated the Country Unit as a secured Memory Care Unit. This unit specializes in the care of residents with memory loss and dementia related diagnoses. This Special Care Unit has been developed with a team of professionals who are specialists in the disease process and its’ management. All staff involved in the Memory Care unit receive extensive training giving them the background to develop the therapeutic techniques needed to apply to the various behaviors residents demonstrate, and to understand the traumatic impact of dementia on family caregivers. This unit offers two levels of activity programs daily; evening activities, a newly developed sensory room and an outdoor herbal garden/planters. The goal of the Country Unit is to enhance the independence, safety and dignity of the participants despite their progressive cognitive and functional losses.

The training may be delivered in a variety of ways including apprenticeships, business practice firms, classroom training, internships, OJT or work experience; or may take place in a combination of settings, on-the-job training supported by formal classroom training, for example, or classroom training followed by an internship.

The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) serves as “the principal agency of the executive branch of state government” (R.I.G.L. §42-7.2-2) responsible for managing the departments of: Health (RIDOH); Human Services (DHS); Office of Healthy Aging (OHA); Office of Veterans Services (VETS); Children, Youth and Families (DCYF); and Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH). The Bristol Historical Society was founded in 1936 to "promote interest in historical research, stimulate the study of the history of Southern New England, especially the Town of Bristol, and collect and preserve whatever is related thereto." Prior to housing the collections in the jail building on Court Street, the Society was located at the Rogers Free Library building. In 1957, a disastrous fire at the Library destroyed many of the Society's treasures and resulted in its lease of the then abandoned Bristol County Jail for use as a museum, library and meeting space.
