Comprehensive assessments provide recommendations for specialized equipment, home modifications and/or independent living services that are required for the consumer to achieve goals for independence in the home and community. This might include making modifications to the home itself such as adding a ramp or renovating a bathroom.

Patients who are being discharged from a hospital or nursing home rehabilitation program following surgery, heart attack, stroke, fracture or other, may further recuperate at The Seasons. Coordinate outside services, such as physical and occupational therapy and lab work. Short-stay residents stay in a fully-furnished apartment and need only bring their clothing, medications and personal items.

Laurel Crest-Pine Meadow is subsidized housing 62+, handicapped or disabled. There are two buildings, 40 units in one and 22 units in the other. Of these units eight are handicapped accessible.

Financial asistance is intended to ensure all patients receive essential emergency and other medically necessary healthcare services provided by CNE regardless of their ability to pay. To that end, CNE will assist individuals who do not otherwise have the ability to pay charges as determined under CNE’s qualification criteria and takes into account each individual’s ability to contribute to the cost of his or her care. CNE financial assistance is not intended to serve as a substitute for employer-sponsored, privately purchased, third party liability, state or federally funded assistance or insurance programs. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. Greenwood Center, located in Warwick, provides skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation therapy. The center is affiliated with Genesis HealthCare and serves up to 123 residents and patients at a time. Greenwood Center has served Kent County since 1964.

A Program for Property Owners with units that are immediately available and are safe and habitable. These units across the state are to provide safe harbor to vulnerable Rhode Islanders without a home. The program will pay market rent reliably on the first of every month.

Services: Membership trade association for food service, lodging, and the tourism industry offering food sanitation and alcohol service certification classes. Other educational training programs provided.

Burrillville Animal Control Shelter returns stray animals to their owners, places unclaimed animals in homes, enforces local animal control ordinances and state animal care regulations, educates and provides referrals to the public, and assists residents in advertising pets needing new homes via the internet.

CCAP also offers a full range of behavioral health counseling for children, youth and adults to help develop healthy ways of coping with adversity and resolve problems that have created obstacles to leading full lives. In addition, CCAP provides substance use treatment, including Medication Assisted Treatment. Their staff of caring, experienced Licensed Independent Social Workers and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors provide individual, couples, family and group therapy.
