Services: A culinary training program for low-income, unemployed and welfare-to-work adults based on a national model that provides a full time 14-week/400 hour program. Throughout the training program, students use donated meat, packaged and canned goods, prepared and perishable food and fresh produce from our Community Harvest program to create nutritious meals for community meal sites and Kids Cafe, a community meal program exclusively for children at risk of hunger. This program offers training, workshops, hands on experience, certifications and employment opportunities. Community Kitchen provides a full chef�s uniform. Provides individual and group counseling for victims of sexual assault and their families. Offers 24-hour hotline, information, advocacy, support, legal assistance and crisis counseling. trained counselors/advocates available to meet victims at hospital, police station and court. Assault Prevention Program offers personal safety programs to students in preschool through college. Day One serves victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and other violent crimes. Services include the 24-hour Victims of Crime Helpline; crisis intervention, individual and group counseling for children and adults, advocacy (including legal advocacy) for victims and their families. Also, the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), the RI Children's Advocacy Center, prevention education and a new Family Foster Care Treatment Program for sexually abused children in foster care and their foster families.

The East Greenwich Police Department has 32 police officers, an animal control officer, parking control officer, 5 dispatchers, an administrative assistant and a secretary. The officers have received CPR, Automatic Emergency Defibrillator and first aid training. The Department has a complete Bureau Criminal Identification unit, a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist and a Tactical Special Response Team. Many officers are graduates of the University of Rhode Island Criminalist School, with training in scientific investigation, photography and fingerprinting. The Department can assist residents with employment fingerprint services, vin verification checks and car seat installation. The EOC office also provides an array of other services: career counseling, GED and English as a Second Language classes referrals, assistance with foreign education evaluations, financial literacy and general educational information dissemination. The RIEOC office has as a goal providing support and motivation to students to assist them in meeting their academic potential.
