The Ocean Tides School Providence Campus is an alternative day school for students in grades seven through twelve. Offering a full high school Rhode Island Regents diploma, the school is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Additionally, the Providence Campus offers a certified special education program and a career/technical education program. The student body at the Providence Campus is comprised of students referred by their school district for educational purposes (both regular and special education) and career/technical training. Each candidate is screened by the Director of Special Education and the Principal before admittance to ensure the student is ready and willing to enter the program. Given the severe educational difficulties these students have experienced in the past, Ocean Tides seeks to provide creative, individualized programs that meet the needs of all students. Disability Determination Services (DDS) is a unit within the Office of Rehabilitation Services. DDS is the state agency which determines the medical eligibility of Rhode Island residents (children and adults) who have applied for cash benefits under the disability programs administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA). The two SSA disability programs are Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) (Title II) and Supplementary Security Income (SSI) (Title XVI). The DDS is responsible for collecting medical evidence of record and determining whether the claimant is disabled and/or blind as defined by the Social Security Act. Medical, psychological, and audiological examinations and tests are used to better understand the disability and needs for specific types of services.

The United States Department of Energy (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) was created in 1976 to assist low-income families. WAP is operated in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and in Native American tribes. Funds are used to improve the energy efficiency of low-income homes using the most advanced technologies and testing protocols available in the housing industry. The energy conservation resulting from the efforts of state and local agencies helps our country reduce its dependency on foreign oil and decreases the cost of energy for families in need while improving the health and safety of their homes. Parent Support Group. Sponsored by the Asperger/Autism Network, Rhode Island Chapter, hosted at Bradley Hospital in the Staff Dining Room. The Center is dedicated to the remediation of children with dyslexia providing free multi-sensory reading and written language tutorial services. They also offers a training course to qualified adults who wish to become certified in Orton-Gillingham.

The Arrigan Rehabilitation Center offers comprehensive physical and occupational therapy to assist injured workers who experience a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological concerns. Highly qualified therapists evaluate the injured worker, create individualized treatment plans, assess progress, and supervise all treatments. Experienced in the industrial health setting, physical and occupational therapy assistants directly provide patients with many of the daily treatments. The Center offers a spacious gym equipped with all necessary strengthening, conditioning, and flexibility equipment. The Center also possesses one of the largest therapy pools in Southern New England, 20 meters in length with a constant temperature of 92 degrees F. Provides therapeutic aquatics with the aid of temperature, buoyancy, and the gentle but firm resistive force of water. This allows for strengthening and mobility training with greater ease and less discomfort. Many injured workers receive a combination of therapeutic aquatics with either land-based therapeutic exercise/conditioning/mobility training or work hardening. Staff now also includes three Certified Hand Therapists who can treat acute hand injuries/post-op patients, administer therapeutic exercises, fabricate splints, and make recommendations for additional adaptive equipment. All treatment staff are experienced in the treatment of work-related injuries, and participate in annual professional development and continuing education seminars.
