The Ocean Tides School Providence Campus is an alternative day school for students in grades seven through twelve. Offering a full high school Rhode Island Regents diploma, the school is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Additionally, the Providence Campus offers a certified special education program and a career/technical education program. The student body at the Providence Campus is comprised of students referred by their school district for educational purposes (both regular and special education) and career/technical training. Each candidate is screened by the Director of Special Education and the Principal before admittance to ensure the student is ready and willing to enter the program. Given the severe educational difficulties these students have experienced in the past, Ocean Tides seeks to provide creative, individualized programs that meet the needs of all students. A comprehensive, State licensed adult day care program to provide medical, social and rehabilitative services to chronically impaired elders and disabled adults. Services include: nursing supervision, personal care, counseling, caregivers support/respite, exercises, activities, specialized therapies and nutrition. The Adult Day Services Program provides an array of supportive services designed to upgrade and increase the activities of daily living for older persons dependent upon continual family support and supervision. The major goal of the program is to reduce the potential for institutionalization of dependent elderly individuals otherwise at risk, and to increase their quality of life through the enhancement of their activities of daily living. The program provides supervised supportive care for frail elderly persons to meet the needs of the functionally impaired individual. CCAP's Employment, Training, and Education Programs assist the youth of Rhode Island ages 14 - 24 through free education, training programs, Work Readiness and Job Placement assistance. They provide a full range of services to youth enrolled in school and out of school. Programs that pick up and impound or return to their owners domestic animals who have strayed from their homes. Also included are programs that enforce leash laws and animal sanitation ordinances and those that handle complaints regarding domestic animals who have bitten someone or are otherwise making nuisances of themselves. Most animal control programs are unable to handle nuisance wildlife unless the animal is sick or shows symptoms of rabies.

Shelter Policies: All calls for service must be filed through the Warren Police Department. Non-emergency calls and inquiries may be made to the Warren Animal Shelter during normal business hours. The Warren Animal Shelter impounds stray dogs and sick or injured cats ONLY. Persons wishing to surrender an animal must contact a private humane agency (ie: RISPCA, Providence Animal Rescue League, Potter League, etc.)

The Tri-County Early Head Start program offers a home-based option for children aged birth to three years old, in which an educator visits the home once per week to engage the child in educational and developmental activities, and socialization strategies. Classroom-based options are available for children ages 18 months to 3 years old, and focus on fun and engaging curriculum to prepare the child for pre-school. Early Head Start is a federal program for eligible families, that are expecting a child, or with a child ages birth to three years old. Children enrolled in the program will receive medical and dental screenings at no cost, and families are provided with assistance locating health care, and emergency services whenever needed. The Early Head Start program provides center-based early education services to 8 children in one classroom. The Joyful Learning Child Academy: is a pre-school and early education program that services families with young children. The program provides comprehensive early education and development services to infants and children six weeks through five years of age. Joyful Learning is licensed by the RI Department of Children, Youth and Families and is accredited by the RI Department of Education. OSCIL provides Lunch and Learn Workshops to the Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing and Deaf-Blind. Provides occasional seminars on topics such as Self-Advocacy and other topics of interest are offered in an informal group setting. In addition to the above services, our Deaf Services Coordinator collaborates with other OSCIL staff to provide assistance with other OSCIL services to individuals and other service providers.
