Westerly Education Center is managed by the State Of Rhode Island’s Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner. Founded in 2017, the Westerly Education Center is a public-private collaboration designed to bring together higher education, business, industry, and community partners to provide high-quality educational programs to meet projected workforce growth in the region. WEC delivers high-quality educational classes to meet projected workforce growth in the region. All Rhode Island public higher education institutions (University of Rhode Island, Community College of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island College), the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner, and the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training are partners in the effort to provide workforce training and improved regional access to curricula offerings. The center is available for any business wishing to rent classrooms or the multi-use room for training sessions, meetings, webinars and more. If desired, businesses can opt to engage with the center’s higher education partners to develop customized courses. Whether training new hires or offering professional development for current staff, the center is ideal for off-site programming.

Peer support in a non-structured environment where mental health consumers can stop by to relax, socialize and help develop whatever services and programs they want. Activities run as members feel appropriate. Mental health referral services available. The Oasis Advocacy & Social Center is consumer-run.

Telephone Recovery Support (TRS) is an innovative peer-to-peer support service that provides weekly telephone calls to check in on people in recovery. Recoverees are given support and encouragement as well as information about community resources, support meetings and alternative recovery pathways that may help them maintain their recovery. Calls are made by trained Anchor staff and volunteers that are in recovery themselves. Community center where people in recovery can gather without fear of drugs or alcohol being present to attend recovery meetings

Tides is a non-traditional agency, unlike any other. Their “No-walls” philosophy puts them in the heart of neighborhoods where clients live—the most distressed and poverty-stricken areas of Rhode Island. Community-based programs service these youth, aged 6-21, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
