Best Buddies Friendship programs build one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. Through their participation, people with IDD form meaningful connections with their peers, gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many other individuals enjoy. They offer e-Buddies: a safe place online to develop one-to-one friendships between people with and without IDD. By joining e-Buddies, participants become more comfortable using technology to communicate with friends, gain computer literacy skills, and are better equipped to socialize online in the future.

The East Greenwich Police Department has 32 police officers, an animal control officer, parking control officer, 5 dispatchers, an administrative assistant and a secretary. The officers have received CPR, Automatic Emergency Defibrillator and first aid training. The Department has a complete Bureau Criminal Identification unit, a Traffic Accident Reconstructionist and a Tactical Special Response Team. Many officers are graduates of the University of Rhode Island Criminalist School, with training in scientific investigation, photography and fingerprinting. The Department can assist residents with employment fingerprint services, vin verification checks and car seat installation. Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond.

Hospital charity care requirements cover those essential services necessary to diagnose, correct, or cure a medical condition that endangers life, causes pain and suffering, results in illness or infirmity, or causes a physical deformity or malfunction. Both inpatient and outpatient services are included. To receive full charity care, patients annual family income must be up to and including 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. For partial charity care, patients annual family income must be between 200% and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level may receive assistance based on a sliding scale. In addition to income, hospitals have the option to consider other assets. Also must be denied from Medicaid first depending on income. The General Nathanael Greene Homestead is a National Historic Landmark located in Coventry, Rhode Island. Known as Spell Hall, it was the home of Revolutionary War General Nathanael Greene from 1770 to 1783, and was owned afterwards by his brother Jacob Greene and his wife Margaret. The house is owned and operated by the General Nathanael Greene Homestead Association, a non-profit organization, and was opened as a museum.

Hot meals are available for in-house dining with a separate cold sandwich option for Grab & Go to be picked up at the Senior Center between 11:30am and 12:30pm. Hot meals are for those dining in.
