This commitment is demonstrated by the fact that we respond to more requests for emergency services than any other Shared Living provider in the state.

Maplewoods is a three acre wooded site in the midst of an established urban neighborhood, SWAP's most recent venture, Maplewoods, contains 40 affordable residential apartments. The Wheeler School is an independent day school for girls and boys from Nursery through Grade Twelve in Providence, Rhode Island. Comprised of four school divisions: Lower School (Grades Nursery - 5), Middle School (Grades 6-8); Upper School (Grades 9-12); The Hamilton School at Wheeler for students with diagnosed learning differences (Grades 1-8)

Services: To ensure that people with disabilities of all ages are provided with the support, care and treatment they need, particularly pre-school and school-aged children with disabilities.

The Center provides hearing testing for about 600 people each year as well as hearing aid assistance for several hundred clients. In addition, about 40 evaluations are conducted annually related to speech therapy needs and approximately 60 clients per year are seen for on-going therapeutic services. Services include (but are not limited to) diagnostic hearing tests, hearing aid evaluations and dispensation; aural rehabilitation; assessment of and treatment for voice, articulation, fluency, and language disorders; communication and cognitive therapy for adults with neurological disorders resulting from strokes or traumatic brain injuries; and programs to improve fluency for ESL clients.

The South County Tourism Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the towns of Charlestown, Coventry, East Greenwich, Exeter, Hopkinton, Narragansett, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown, West Greenwich, and Westerly as a leisure travel destination. The SCTC’s promotional efforts include publication of a 100-page vacation guide; a year-long advertising campaign directed at our leisure tourism market; targeted sales efforts; public relations strategy; participation in numerous trade shows; and a comprehensive website. The SCTC is available to assist travel professionals including media, tour operators, and travel agents, aid in planning a meeting or corporate event, and provide information to help visitors enjoy the destination.

For youth who have been adjudicated as delinquent and those awaiting trial for serious offenses, residential programming is conducted at the RI Training School which provides a secure, structured program or comprehensive services including clinical and educational services. All youth detained receive educational services in accordance with their academic level and/or specific individual education plan.

Regional seminary serving New England dioceses, its Mission is to serve the Roman Catholic Church in preparing men for the priesthood. The Seminary provides a full formation program for men in their college years who have been accepted as seminary candidates by their bishops.

Chimney Hill Apartments is a low income housing community subsidized by the federal governments HUD (Housing and Urban Development) Division for seniors 62+, disabled or handicapped.

A 265-acre property, a house built in 1796, which today is a working family farm. During open hours, take a self-guided walking tour, participate in an outdoor workshop, explore farm fields with grazing livestock, stroll along the shore, and view seasonal farm activities. Using innovative sustainable practices, the managers of Watson Farm continue the tradition of pastoral husbandry, grazing Heritage Red Devon cattle and sheep on the scenic seaside pastures. The farmers produce 100% grass-fed beef and lamb and wool blankets for local markets. The house, still used as the farmers’ residence, is not open to the public.

Child Outreach is a free service offered to all children 3 to 5 years old. Child Outreach provides information about your child’s development and resources that are available within your community. It can also help identify children who may need further assessment, intervention and/ or services at an early age to promote positive outcomes in kindergarten and beyond.
