Chapters
The Greater Providence Chapter of the NFB of RI meets on the second Saturday of each month, except for the months of July and October from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and they are preceded by a social half hour at 10 Office Parkway, in East Providence. The Mount Hope Chapter of the NFB of RI meets on the third Thursday of each month, except for October and December from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, preceded by a social half hour. Meetings are held at the Rogers Free Library, located at 525 Hope Street, in Bristol. Those using the Ride program should ask to be dropped off and picked up at the Thames Street entrance, located in the back of the building. Founded in 2017, the Westerly Education Center is a public-private collaboration designed to bring together higher education, business, industry, and community partners to provide high-quality educational programs to meet projected workforce growth in the region.
WEC delivers high-quality educational classes to meet projected workforce growth in the region. All Rhode Island public higher education institutions (University of Rhode Island, Community College of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island College), the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner, and the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training are partners in the effort to provide workforce training and improved regional access to curricula offerings.
The center is available for any business wishing to rent classrooms or the multi-use room for training sessions, meetings, webinars and more. If desired, businesses can opt to engage with the center’s higher education partners to develop customized courses. Whether training new hires or offering professional development for current staff, the center is ideal for off-site programming.

The Fogarty Center provides a variety of Employment & Day Supports to many of the people from its residential and other community settings. The Fogarty Center offers individual Person-Centered services for job seekers with intellectual/developmental disabilities by offering a comprehensive progression of employment-related services. These services include; Discovery, Career Exploration, Job Trial/Assessment, Placement, Job Coaching and Monitoring. The Fogarty Center also supports adults by planning meaningful activities throughout the day, based on personal preference, within a variety of settings including day programs as well as locations within the community. Day services are provided on an individual 1:1 basis and/or group settings.
