The Traffic Tribunal is part of the Rhode Island unified court system and is comprised of eight (8) judicial officers, which include a Chief Magistrate, an Administrative Magistrate, two (2) Associate Judges, and four (4) Magistrates. The Traffic Tribunal has original jurisdiction over civil traffic offenses committed in Rhode Island, including breathalyzer refusals. Further, the Traffic Tribunal has authority over certain Department of Environmental Management offenses. The Traffic Tribunal has oversight responsibilities and concurrent jurisdiction with the Municipal Courts for lesser traffic offenses. The Traffic Tribunal operates several daily calendars including arraignments, trials, motions, and citation (collections) cases. The court also has an Appeals Division which processes Traffic Tribunal, Municipal Court, and Division of Motor Vehicle appeals.

Hopkins Manor, Ltd. is a 200-bed skilled nursing facility providing traditional nursing home care as well as sub-acute rehabilitation, hospice, respite and alzheimer’s care. They can accommodate both long and short term placement and resident admissions are facilitated seven days a week. Treatment programs integrate nursing, dietary, activities and other disciplines to promote recovery of functional skills. The goal is to achieve the highest practicable physical, mental and psychological well being while treating each resident with the utmost dignity and respect. The program places a strong emphasis on the Twelve Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Assertiveness training as well as physical and recreational activities are designed to improve health and appearance. Special emphasis is placed on helping each woman develop positive feelings of self-worth that will support the ultimate goal of sobriety. A relapse prevention specialist provides residential and outpatient relapse prevention services. Eastman House also offers a continuing after care program. Federally funded and state administered through our Department, we are committed to providing low-income individuals and families with resources to purchase food.

A 25 bed, co-ed Assisted Living Residence for adults and seniors with behavioral healthcare needs who require assistance with everyday activities. Staff assists residents with coordination of services and encourage participation in various activities in the local area. Evergreen is staffed with dually-licensed Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides. A Registered Nurse meets monthly with residents to evaluate healthcare needed and coordinate service planning. Easily accessible to public transportation.

MTM is the state of Rhode Island’s non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) manager. Medicaid recipients can receive rides to appointments with Medicaid-covered health care providers if you have no other way to get there. Non-Medicaid enrollees who qualify for the Elderly Transportation Program (ETP) can receive rides to medical services. Participants in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program/RI Works can receive monthly bus passes to pursue employment opportunities MTM coordinates with qualified transportation to offer this important benefits for Medicaid members who need to get and from Medicaid- covered services but no means of transportation. MTM also provides transportation to Rhode Island residents 60 years of age and older who do not have access to transportation for non- emergency . Medical appointments and certain other services, MTM provides Phone line for the dead and hearing impaired (TYY: 711). The Elderly Transportation Program is provided through MTM and is for Rhode Island residents 60 years of age and older who do not have access to any means of transportation. The Elderly Transportation Program provides transportation to and from medical appointments, adult day care, meal sites, dialysis/ cancer treatment and the Insight Program. Trips to and from meal sites must take place between 10am and 2pm. If you meet the age requirement and do not have access to any means of transportation, you may use the Elderly Transportation Program for rides to meal sites and the Insight Program. The program requires a $2 copay to be collected by the driver for each ride ($2 to destination and $2 back from destination). Call MTM at 1-855-330-9131. Wheelchair van: if you are confined to a wheelchair or ADA compliant scooter, require a lift equipped or roll-up wheelchair van, require assistance of a trained professional. You are required to sign the driver's log or electronic device upon pick up of the transport. State Fair Hearing- a State Fair Hearing is a chance for you to tell an EOHHS hearing officer why you think MTM's decision is wrong.
