CODAC East Bay, serving East Providence, Barrington, Warren, Pawtucket and surrounding areas, treats more than 350 patients weekly. Programs include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD), intensified treatment programs (IOP), general outpatient treatment (GO) for alcohol and other substance use, behavioral healthcare services, tobacco cessation programs, and services for gambling addiction. CODAC East Bay, along with all other CODAC locations, has been awarded the designation of Center of Excellence (COE) for the treatment of opioid use disorder. As a designated COE, they have met or exceeded the highest standards of care (as determined by RI state agencies), are able to provide expedited access to treatment, and offer at least two of the three FDA approved medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder (methadone, buprenorphine (SuboxoneTM, SubutexTM) and oral and depot naltrexone (VivitrolTM). CODAC sites are currently the only providers in RI authorized to dispense all three of these medications. As a COE, CODAC guarantees that treatment will begin within 48 hours of your first phone call. In addition to individual counseling, CODAC East Bay offers a rich and comprehensive selection of group counseling opportunities, including groups for pre- and post-partum women; early recovery patients; co-occurring patients; DUI referrals; tobacco cessation and problem gambling patients; anger management referrals; and groups for adolescents. The mission of the RISPCA is to protect and advocate for the rights and welfare of animals through legal, educational, legislative and investigative means. They provide adoption and rehoming services, veterinary care, humane education, training support and pet owner assistance programs. The Rhode Island SPCA is also the only organization in the state that can legally investigate and prosecute cases of animal cruelty and neglect. West Kingston Elementary School is a public elementary school serving grade levels k-5 in the South Kingstown School District. This school is eligible for participation in state and federal Title I programs. Some or all students in this school participate in free or reduced lunch programs.

Overnight shelter, dental services, food pantry, clothing room, and meal programs. **Overnight Shelter Provides emergency, overnight shelter for 75 to 90 homeless men and 15 to 30 homeless women, seven nights a week. Each overnight guest has the ability to take a hot shower, eat a hot dinner, sleep in a clean bed, and have breakfast in the morning. **Food & Clothing We operate an emergency food pantry and a clothing room. Individuals and families use these services on a daily basis. We distribute approximately 16,000 lbs. of food and 5,000 articles of clothing each month. **Meal Programs Our meal programs provide approximately 6,000 hot meals a month to the needy in our community as well as 1,700 box lunches to the children. In addition to our feeding ministry, we do special events during the holidays. This past Thanksgiving we provided Thanksgiving food boxes for 1,600 families in the Providence area. Each box contained 20 pounds of non-perishable food and a 20 pound turkey. At Christmastime, we provided 9,300 gifts to over 3,100 needy families through our Christmas Toy Ministry. **Dental Offices In a phrase - state-of-the-art. The Providence Rescue Mission features a full service dental office that helps Individuals start a new life with a smile they can proud of. Our office features x-ray, full cleaning, and other dental services. Local dentists and staff see patients by appointment only. **Discipleship Program We run a one-year discipleship program that allows 10 to 15 homeless men with, but not limited to, substance abuse issues to start a new life by combining biblical values, counseling, education and career training and reunification with their families. This program is at capacity most of the time.

As part of their housing first approach, their goal is to help people move out of emergency shelter and into stable housing as quickly as possible. Their emergency shelters are low-barrier and housing focused. Shelters 41 women in 10 shared bedrooms, one wheelchair-accessible bedroom, a common space and outdoor patio.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a national, evidence-based family visiting program that provides free and voluntary support to families. It builds strong communities, thriving families and children that are healthy, safe and ready to learn by matching parents and caregivers with trained professionals who make regular personal home visits during a child’s earliest years in life, from prenatal through kindergarten. PAT serves expectant mothers and families. This program provides informational support and encouragement to parents to help their children develop optimally during the early years of life. The program features parent educators that are dedicated to forming lasting relationships with families. Services include: -Personal home visits that build rapport and include activities that promote child and family interactions. -Facilitated discussions that enhance parental understanding of child development and promote the family’s well-being. -Links to community resources that assist families reach personal goals. -Group connections that offer opportunities to link families with natural support networks in the community. Group gatherings are interactive and may include a family activity, presentation, or socialization opportunity with other families.
